An unapologetic song about what depression is really like is "Given Up" - it cries out Chester's desperation. But what makes it remarkable is a 17 second metal scream that is absolutely incredible. His vocals are unmatched!

Chester (R.I.P.) had so much energy. He was a totally honest artist that put everything into it. I'm so happy that I can say that I got to see them. They rocked it! Their songs are painfully honest but motivational. They don't have a bad song.

Linkin Park was a jolt to the music scene when they first came out. They blended the genres in the best way. KROQ in Southern California first started playing them. They had them playing parking lots at Best Buy’s. You just knew that they were going to be big.

I have a voice acting background and have to say that Chester's on stage performance as well as his voice as a front man (Dead by Sunrise), has been such an inspiration for more than 20 years now. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but artist like him and the great Kevin Conroy are an impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :) If you're looking for a similar sound I would recommend Earshot - 'Wait', Spineshank - 'New Disease', Incubus -'Certain Shade of Green', Reveille - 'Inside Out', Primer 55 - 'Loose',

There are quite a few Linkin Park songs that will get you pumped. Points of Authority, One Step Closer, Lying From You, By Myself, A Place for My Head (especially the live in Texas version) and Faint are all great songs to get the blood pumping. Linkin Park is an essential 00s band speaking as someone who was in high school when they debuted...not a bad song on their first two albums...definitely worth going down the rabbit hole :)

Songs to check out: Breaking the Habit, One Step Closer, Numb, Crawling, What I've Done, and Given Up. There are a lot more but these will keep you busy! Lead singer is Chester Bennington. Mike Shinoda with the rapping and Chester Bennington with the singing are the perfect duo for rap/singing and add that to hard rock or metal. LP had the perfect music combination for my taste anyway and I’m freaking 68 years old! 😂. I miss Chester so much. He passed away in 2017 I believe. They also switched roles in some of their songs where Chester rapped and Mike sang and sometimes back and forth in the same song. They were just so creative and unique. Deep lyrics most of the time and fun music. Very passionate at times. They loved their fans. All around just a wonderful band. ❤️

Nothing bad can be said about Linkin Park (RIP Chester). Chester can sing! His vocal ability is incredible. The combination of rap and rock vocal makes Linkin Park unique. They found a way to incorporate both styles in a way that not many could. Their sound is distinctive and one of the best bands to come out of the 90's. They wrote songs that were deep, reflective & honest, many touching on Chester's own personal demons, which many of us now see as cries for help since his suicide. But such incredible music. Keep reacting to this band.

Linkin Park were amazing, and Chester Bennington was a lyrical genius. You can tell every word he sang he meant. You don’t get that nowadays. Other songs of theirs you should check include: “Feint”, “A Place For My Head” and “What I’ve Done”

A couple of the members, including Mike Shinoda spun off Fort Minor. There song "remember the name" is my favorite "get hyped" locker room song. When I was coaching youth football, I had to use the clean version!

Yes Mike Shinoda is a rapper. Linkin park is unique and blended together. Metal x rap x and hitting high notes signing. Rip Chester Bennington.

There’s something so unique, so captivating, and so heartbreaking about a Linkin Park song. My favorite song and video of theirs is “Numb”, I hope you check it out! (Update: not the remake/sample with Jay-Z, just the straight Linkin Park version)

The 90s into the 2000s had some of the most varied music to be given to us in the main stream scene. At the time, we had no idea it would end and turn into the mess that music is today; simple and repetitive. Back then the music had soul and meaning. It was a painting of our lives and we were so blessed to have the music we needed to get through a life of such fun and strife. I survived those years because of songs such as this. I miss those days but life goes on. At least I can put the songs on my hi-fi and play them whenever I want. Thanks for reacting to this song.

Chester Bennington was an amazing vocalist, he sang with every emotion...it was so raw. Unfortunately the world lost him to his struggles with depression about 6 years ago 😢. The other vocalist (who raps) is Mike Shinoda.
