WOW, what a great starter bike! Too many reviews are showing 450lb+ 60hp+ $6,000+ bikes as so-called beginer bikes. Whcih is rediculess. We need to see more bikes like this.

Love the fact you do small cc reviews as well. The idea of a 125 twin is interesting but not something that would sway me. The styling for me is spot on. Reminds me of a mutt.

That is an excellent urban v-twin starter bike. And the company that makes it has been around for several years now. The quality is spot on with the styling. I am seriously considering to get this for myself. Save money and still have that classic look.

It looks amazing. I was looking at second hand bikes but they were always miles away so I went to Poole moto, saw a Keeway K light and pretty much bought it on the spot. I hadn’t considered a twin engine. The Keeway can do 65mph so a single, though less sophisticated, is fine. The K light also looks nice and is around 1k cheaper. Thanks for doing the video.

I ride everyday an GV125 '06. It's upstanding 1/8L still rolling. Not so accelerating, bit I do changes for procomp oils and filters, and it works fine from 90 to 110kmh and more, reaching 123kmh GPS, under favorable conditions.✌😎

Interesting comment about the air filter. I'm a bit on the short side and things jabbing in to one's thighs are one of the reasons I didn't buy the Benelli Motobi 200 EFI / Keeway Superlight. The V-twin engine might look great, but it only tops out at the legal limit of 14bhp and the exhaust note is a bit mediocre. How would you compare it with the Keeway K-Light or the Sinnis Hoodlum?

I was toying between FB Mondial HPS, AJS Scrambler, Mutt Hilts but the more I look, I see a lot of 125’ers on the same frame and clone GN engine….. so this is different and looks meaty. One to look at aswell thanks. Cheers 👍🍻

At 17 I'd have donated my left happy sack for a bike like that! It looks fantastic. Unfortunately, plonk an overweight 45 year old on one and it would look less cool. Also the price is a bit steep. Think of the range of used bikes that are open to you for that money. Lastly, those side mounted filters are a real pain. They work with dedicated forward controls but not with mid pegs. I was close to buying an XV 950 when they came out but when I sat on one the filter jabbed into my inside knee and was massively uncomfortable. My old vulcan 750 had a V with its filter mounted next to the front cylinder and made much more sense.

I fully agree. Bought a 2005 model of the Varadero a year ago and while it's obviously underpowered compared to the 100+ HP bikes I'm used to I'm so impressed with how well it deals with city traffic while at the same time allowing even "longer" (well, 50-100 km) trips without the tiring vibrations normally associated with single cylinder bikes.

Cracking bike for the money; but… the Honda Forza 125 is an even better bike albeit for 5k brand new, and its twist and go which just makes for a smoother ride; and to boot, it’s nippy off the lights and smooth as to ride. I’m torn whether to buy another Forza or this one. Perhaps the storage under the Forza seat might twist my arm, as you can fit 2 helmets it in, or three full carrier bags in it too.

For me, it's lovely that it's a v-twin. But if you look you can find similar bikes with single-cylinder engines for over a grand less, brand new. I think the premium for the v-twin is too much. Especially for a 17/18 year old. It's nicer, but nearing 50% when it doesn't offer any more performance and is mainly an aesthetic change.... I dunno. If you're buying it as a cheap commuter then you probably don't care about the v-twin and if you're buying it as a learner bike on the way to something bigger you probably don't want to spend that much. So... Nice, but worth the extra??

IN the first 6,000km I had to replace the rectifier, stator and the entire clutch assembly. Not a good look. My mechanic said that the components were rough, not made to fine tolerances and that the clutch was likely to fail prematurely again. Mine was the GV650 custom - nice looking bike but just badly made.

Hyosung know how to make good looking bikes, that said, Garbage company, i urge people to stay away from it. Bough a GT 650 R once and i regretted it, never gonna touch Hyosung ever again.

@@user-sw2lv3zp6o I bought a Hyosung GT650R (year model 2005) last year. The bike was used bought I had it inspected and besides needing a new chain and new brake fluid the bike was fine. The bike only had 2000km on it so it practically wasn't used much. I ride the bike for a month and I already had issues, the first being the clutch not being able to recognize neutral and second the brake lights. I took out the gear disks and discovered that one of them was bent, after correcting it the shifter was working smoothly. A while later and the bike had issues starting up, this become especially apparent as the temperatures got colder (the bike was carborated), then the display started to develop issues where the dial would be pushed up every time i turn off the bike, then when I took the bike for maintenance and wanted to clean it the oil glass came off and fell in the engine (naturally oil was leaking out as a result) and that was the last freakin straw for me, I fixed the glass and I put the bike up for sale for euros 1200 (bought it for euros 2000), when a buyer showed up the engine stopped working completely (even though I gave the damn thing fresh new oil and even fresh new engine coolant) so I was forced to sell the thing for 400. Mind you because the brand isn't well supported in europe finding spare parts is HELL, if you live in Asia then I suppose it would be a safer bet, but in europe (and probably the USA) avoid at all costs, their bikes look good and cheap and may run well initially but as soon as 1 problem shows up you are pretty much SCREWED (and good luck selling the thing too because nobody knows what a Hyosung is), thats my full story.

Not bad looking but the 125cc is a real disappointment. This bike deserves a 250-300cc twin cylinder. Anything up to 500cc would fill the void where harley won't go.
