Hyde Park | Living St. Louis
Living St. Louis producer Anne-Marie Berger profiles the Hyde Park community as part of a special episode highlighting the distinct neighborhoods in St. Louis. Located just north of downtown, Hyde Park was formerly called Bremen before it became part of the City of St. Louis in 1856. Over the years, it has experienced a great decline in population. Many of the homes in the area date back to the 19th century and are in need of great repairs. Peter George of Blue Shutters Development is working hard to rehab these old buildings in an effort to revive the neighborhood.

Just purchased in Hyde Park... Excited!
I remember going to Holy Trinity pre school back in the 80s. Used to be nice area back then
My hometown born n raised.
Developers should have to rebuild the home as original as possible. No siding allowed only red brick
Lived there 2x born there first4 years of life there in the mid 80s lived there for 2 years
MY DAD HAD PROPERT AT 1406 NEWHOUSE THE TENNANTS were out to DESTROY ANYTHING OR ALL , it got so dangerous the CITY INSPECTORS WOULD NOT GO into the NEIGHBORHOOD after 11:00 a.m.
born and raised there went to irving, ames, clay, holy trinity then bused to roosevelt left in 97
i was raised in north st,louis went clay school and holy trinity i remember that lady she has s son name joe

I went to Holy Trinity Clay Webster and Roosevelt. Small world. Yes it was once a nice place.

My friends and I were pulled over in the Hyde park district for DWW (driving while white)
We had a clubhouse on Bremen right down from the park used to go to heavymetal shows at Turners Hall on the corner. Mid 80s
the hard working GERMANS MOVED OUT !
