I always find it relaxing somehow that you can just stroll into the bush without worrying about snakes and poisonous plants. Maybe I need to go to NZ for a holiday haha.

Love the videos from home bro. I have to say though. Watching this one I paused at 11:15 so I could say something about the net. Well said bro, this is Fiordland and our islands in the south pacific, Aotearoa. We are the Kaitiaki (guardians of the place) and it is just a bit heart wrecking to see that huge net. Anyway. I am gonna hit play again and see how many pest species you tag on this trip. Keep up the good work.

Thanks bro. Went back this year in April, (one year later) - can see my videos on this trip too, and they have managed to remove the net. They tried all sorts with tractors etc but too heavy/stuck. Ended up burning it. At least it’s gone.
Great Vid

How do you rate the bushbuck packs? I've had my slayer 36l pack for a while now and can't fault it
@olliecraig-primalpursuit
3 жыл бұрын
I've only ever had one other pack, and had the slayer for a little while but the practicality of the pack is next level, so much thought had gone into the design, and was pretty Comfy loaded up with meat walking though tough Bush etc! Looks like the real deal.
Next work fellas, you don’t get to many days like that where you get 3 stags, memories to saviour, sure is cool place. What’s the rifle your mates using?
@olliecraig-primalpursuit

Cheers Tony! Awesome memories for sure. I believe it's a ruger or similar? Just a cheap $500 gun but obviously does the job!

Pretty cold! Got used to it after a while though went for a couple swims. Amazing what body can handle
First time catching a video of yours and really enjoyed it Ollie. Thanks for sharing looks like a bloody awesome adventure, what was the name of the lodge you stayed at? roughly what was the cost to fly in and stay there? looks like my kind of remote gentleman's hunt.

Good job 3 dears. But didn't see alot of meat come out with you. Better not have left it behind
Great stuff again, spectacular footage. Congrats too. Two things, when did you shoot that? (footage and deer I guess lol) and I know its been said but Speight's and Lion fucking brown... you went on an absolutely legendary adventure .. and you took Speight's and lion brown to drink! You dropped the ball there mate lol. Also yes that water looked bloody freezing. Wicked shit mate - once again showing the world how lucky we are here in NZ. Love it.
@olliecraig-primalpursuit

Cheers Nick! Yeah we dropped the ball on the piss.. The sleights is fine but lion brown is basically water. Not again!
Beautiful views.
Oh no, not the lion brown 😁 real hunter beer is it?? 😂
@olliecraig-primalpursuit
3 жыл бұрын
Definitely cannot call it beer. We stocked up on supplies in invercargill where alcohol in rediculously expensive so just bought some cheap stuff. Won't be doing it again ahah tastes like water
Awesome spot to fly into bro, how much does a chopper flight like that cost? Really want to get in and hunt Fiordland one of these days.
@olliecraig-primalpursuit
2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, about $1000 return flight per person i think? maybe a little cheaper. it depends on where you fly from etc can be a bit cheaper also we booked super late notice as our jetboat got cancelled

We called them in. Only 3-4 weeks of the year in the 'roar' period. Fun time!
I'm pretty sure u didn't take all that meat...lol what a waste....but video was beautiful bro.
@olliecraig-primalpursuit
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah your right, we didn't take all of it but carried out as much as possible. Took all the rear legs back steaks and some of the front legs. The hike back that day ruined me for the next few days... Haha
Congratulations on your first stag bro, but also just want to say the amount of respect shown towards the animals was exceptional!!!! no over the top celebrations, no hi fiving, no shouts of adulation or joy and for someone who has just shot their first.......wow brother AMAZING!!! but if I had one concern it would be......who the hell is drinking the lion brown??? lol
@olliecraig-primalpursuit
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! Had to be quiet as there were other stags we could here in the area! But yeah, wouldn't do that anyway. As for the beer, we made a mistake there! Was like drinking water. When we got out supplies in invercargill, we're shocked at how expensive alcohol is there with their special alcohol taxes. Thought wed try out a cheaper beer. Was like drinking water haha
mean head on it
