    For Poland 🇵🇱 war was very destroying. 1) We lost milions of people, whose often were very educated great specialists, 2) We lost a lot of buisness, small/medium/high industry, 3) normal Polish people didnt earn so much what they could without war (losts years of work), 4) we lost a lot of goods of culture (arts, books, sculptures, buildings), 5) a lot of totaly destroyed cities, 6) so much people mentally ill after war (they could be normal without war), 7) change sistem from "national-socialism with free market" into real socialism/communism, what didnt help us. Occupation during war in Poland was worse than in France 🇨🇵 or Danmark 🇩🇰 because they were for Germans material to become German, we Polish 🇵🇱 or Czechia 🇨🇿 people were "untermansch" to kill or being slaves.

    It is very important to understand that such statistics were carried out according to different methodologies. Someone counts only the dead soldiers, someone takes into account the losses of paramilitary formations, someone takes into account the missing, someone takes into account civilian losses, etc. It is as if in the GDP statistics some were calculated by nominal value, others by purchasing power parity, thirds in general by GDP per capita, and so on. But still, statistics can roughly demonstrate the scale of what is happening. P.S. I have experience in studying the losses of the USSR. Some "researchers" reach the point of absurdity and begin to include in the loss of potentially unborn children, pensioners who died of natural causes, those who died from serious illnesses, etc. No one else considers their losses like that. But without such a perversion, the myth about throwing corpses does not work. P.P.S Many thanks to the author for bringing together the information and its graphic presentation

  • @deanronson6331

    Why don't you read the info spelled out in the graph instead of speculating. It clearly says that the numbers relate to: Battle deaths, civilian war-related famine, disease, war crimes, atrocities.

  • @wiseleader106

    @wiseleader106

    @@deanronson6331 because if it's true, then the numbers are not accurate. Literally everything is counted in the losses of the USSR on the graph (including traitors who fought on the side of the Germans, civilians who died in the rear and soldiers who survived the battle but remained disabled). At this time, as in Germany, these are only the losses of the Wehrmacht (and these are not even all military losses). Of course, if we do not trust Dr. Goebbels (2mln military and 5mln civilians). Thats why I assume that other countries used different methods of calculation. I do not believe that the author is trying to misinformed people. I'm sure he did a great job of aggregating whole available data into a single graph. Thats why I left this comment.

The data in the video is valid. You can confirm this info if you read the researchers. BUT thats values are calculated by DIFFERENT METHODS. c) If for you my arguments like farting into barrel, np. If you have data, can you name battles or places where military or civilian casualties appeared before June 1941 as in this video. Secondly, if you want to speak 1940 year and "annexation". You have written "relatively without military losses", military losses were 0, because there were no resistance in Baltic states or Bessarabia. If you have another data place share this information when and where battle took place? Thirdly, you have written there "a lot of human losses there", what do you mean by a lot pf losses^ is it 1, 2, 3, 1000, thousand, million? As I know in Estonia there were about 10 000 displaced (not killed) persons, most of then lived many years after. Of course some of them maybe were imprisoned and executed (some of them committed many war crimes during civil war 20 years before), but exact numbers I don't know. Extrapolating this data to Latvia, Lithuania and Moldova we can get about 50-70 000 displaced (not killed) persons, most of them lived years after. Is it many? Comparing to daily life yes, comparing to casualties in WW2 or in Vietnam or in Iraq not many.

    There was one known air raid by Germany on Dublin in Ireland, which was considered accidentally deliberate. Irish dead is harder to calculate because many joined the allies, principally Britain in WWII. Despite historic animosity towards Britain, support for the Axis powers was small at the start of the war and grew smaller throughout it's duration, though the Irish leader was thought to be a Nazi sympathiser and sent condolences to Germany when Hitler died. While neutral, Ireland generally as a nation helped the Allies in small ways when it was safe to do so without threatening it's neutrality. The Irish Republican Army did attempt some actions to hamper the British war effort in Northern Ireland and reached out to Nazi Germany for support but was largely ineffectual during the war, especially as many of its members were uncomfortable with being bed fellows of the Nazis. Three IRA members were killed carrying out actions in WWII in Northern Ireland but the stats would record these as among the British dead.

    Seriously? 2 millions deaths in The Soviet Union at 05.1941. They had fight at that time only with Finland, small polish campaign and some battles with Japan. But war with Nazi Germany, that brought 26,6 millions deaths for USSR, started at 22.06.1941.
