I heard Don talking about it on the UX Podcast, and I got crazy about it! I love the design for humanity approach, specially considering our global-warming context and COVID-19 pandemic... Don Norman is a brilliant mind, and probably my biggest reference in UX and design.

🌍🧠 Redefining Design for the 21st Century 🛠💡 Let's delve into the realm of 21st-century design, a paradigm shift from traditional design concepts. This modern approach isn't solely about creating beautiful objects and experiences but centers around design thinking-a powerful way to tackle the world's most pressing issues. The world's seven billion individuals house boundless creativity and resourcefulness. Many are already crafting ingenious solutions to their challenges. Instead of assuming that external experts have all the answers, we must acknowledge the brilliance and resourcefulness within communities. Our role as designers becomes one of support, mentorship, and facilitation. We should complement local initiatives and provide assistance in areas where communities may require additional resources or expertise. It's a partnership, with the people leading the way. In summary, our mission is to reshape the world through humanity-centered design. We aim to empower individuals, preserve the planet, and ensure the solutions we craft resonate with the very people they impact. By embracing this vision, we can pave the way for a more sustainable and harmonious world. 🌟 What's your perspective on the role of design thinking in addressing global challenges?
