Your wedding dress is coming along beautifully. You will look like a princess. Could you please put up a tutorial on how you weave in your ends. That would be great.

Thank you!! I'm really loving this part of the process where everything is starting to come together! I just learned how to weave in ends more seamlessly, so I'm probably not the best person to do a tutorial, but there are many good ones already on KZread!

Your wedding dress is beautiful. I have so enjoyed watching your creative process in making it and I love that you started on your parents' anniversary and are knit on it slowly. It's so beautiful to be so intentional with your knitting like that. You mentioned your worries about the straps possibly having too much stretch. I've never tried this, but I had a thought. I'm sure you could sew in a fabric or ribbon lining. Like a strap under the strap to keep it from stretching. Looking forward to seeing your vision come together. It's going to be amazing! Happing knitting.

Thank you! I'm trying (and often failing) to be more intentional with my knitting. But with the wedding dress, I am managing to do it, and it really makes a difference❤️ I really like your idea of adding a piece of fabric to the straps to stop them from stretching!! I'll look more into that! Happy knitting❤️

Thank you!! It has been so fun to start knitting without any pattern again! I want to continue doing that after the wedding dress❤️

What I've done with kids/baby knits before where I'm a little short on yarn is knit body (without hem) and sleeves and if I run out of yarn, I buy another skein for cuffs, hem and neckline. If it's a structurally different part of the sweater, then a different dye lot is much less noticeable. It's true yarn chicken but if you're short just one/half a skein, it should work out.

That's really smart! I think that's what I'm going to do! I shouldn't be more than half a skein short maximum, so that method would be perfect!

I am so happy for you that you love your Ingrid Sweater (I do too!) and that the wedding dress is turning out to be everything that you envisioned. I think it is so sweet that you want to knit it slowly and create a lot of memories during the process, but at the same time I am sure that all of us can’t wait to see you wear it! You will look so beautiful. I hope that your fiancé is loving how it is turning out!! I am adding the Paul,s Cardigan to my queue, I love that pattern. I hope you have another week of very happy knitting!

Thank you!! It's really hard to knit slowly on the wedding dress when all I want is to see the final result, but it will make it all the more special in the end🥰 My fiancé was skeptical at the start, but he loves how it's turning out! The Paul Cardigan is such a good pattern! The end result looks great, and it's so fun to knit up🤩 Happy knitting!

Wow you've made amazing progress with your wedding dress, it's going to be stunning. I'm so impressed that you have designed it all yourself. Also you have totally inspired me to want to knit a Moby slipover and preferably in Drops Daisy 😊 I hope you have a lovely weekend and a great time at the yarn festival.

Wow your wedding dress is looking so good! Pro tip - do NOT get pregnant before the wedding or all your beautiful work is for nothing!I did that 😂 Thankfully my store -bought dress could be altered but with yours that would be a bummer. Have fun with your baby cousins and at the yarn festival!

Thank you!! Getting pregnant before your wedding sounds quite stressful! I'm glad your dress could be altered!! I think mine could be altered if there really was a need for it, but boy, it would be a lot of extra work😅🥵 I had the best time visiting my baby cousins and going to the yarn festival🥰

I'm not really sure, but I got 1000g of Sandnes Garn Sisu and 500g of Sandnes Garn Alpakka følgetråd for the main dress, and that's definitely going to be enough. And for the mohair skirt, I got 375g of each color, 750 in total, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have leftover mohair

Hi! The biggest reason as to why I'm not combining it with fabric is that I can't sow, and I want to do it all myself. I'm also having a winter wedding in Norway, so 100% wool will be nice to stay warm🥰
