Huge Drop in Ford Bronco Sales. Chaos leads to Changes

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Demand for the Ford Bronco has dropped while supply has dramatically increased. Ford's Bronco factory is finally pumping out tons of well built, reliable Ford Bronco's but the damage has already been done. Ford is seeing a huge drop in Ford Bronco demand and as a result sales are down, and that is too bad because the Ford Bronco is an awesome machine. However, the sales chaos will lead to changes that we can certainly look forward to and will be drastic enough that many current owners will be rushing to trade in their current model year Ford Bronco.

The Broncos are just too expensive, they have kept raising the prices at every possible opportunity and for any excuse, and when you add the dealer market adjustments, people are just fed up and moved on.

I want a bronco or a jeep. And I’m also looking for a family sized SUV. And I am not buying either one in this market. I’m not paying for a substandard warranty. I’m not paying this much money for unreliability. And I’m not paying $60-$70,000 for a bunch of plastic, fake cheap leather on a four-wheel-drive platform. They look absolutely beautiful, but I’m 52. I’ve already done the stupid stuff and learned my lesson. Nor will I accept $1000 car payment. Neither one of these brands are luxury brands and don’t think for second that people are stupid enough anymore to pay this kind of money for something that we know isn’t gonna last five or six years without some kind of investment. Sell your vehicles overseas. We don’t need you anymore.

The issue started when ford dropped the base model. They pushed the higher trim levels by eliminating the most cost effective model. Lost me as a potential buyer. I’m also someone who has owned 5 early broncos so I’m truly a target audience for them.

I leased my 2022 Bronco 2 dr V6 Outer Banks and it's been amazing so far. 35,000km's on it and no issues except a whistle in cold weather. I have 2 more years on the lease and will see how it holds up, but I paid $10K less than what they're charging now. I imagine the prices will come down to the level that I paid here in Canada. I see them sitting on the lots now. It's a great vehicle but not for the prices they boosted them to. Toyota has done the same thing so it's not just Ford with over inflated prices.

Huh? Inflation 100% is the cause. Companies raised prices due to material costs rising but also found it a good way to just raise prices and maximize profit. Now they have to do deal with falling sales, and the stock market isn’t going to like this. It’s cyclical, they can reset expectations for 2025 by taking the hit sooner

Ok, first off I like the bronco, but the Jeep’s 3.6L V6 is not boring. It’s a fun, off-road ready (can handle a vertical stall and restart), and reliable motor (I owned one in my 2012 JK). However, if it’s boring to you, Jeep has a 392. The 2024 Jeep is not a new model, it’s a refresh. Anyway, the bronco should be fine and I hope it succeeds. All these manufacturers need to focus on off-road capability, if I want luxury, I’d buy a G wagon.

I agree solid content. Ford needs to greatly simplify their engine options as they have already mostly done with the 10 speed Transmission namely just go with the twin turbo v-6 as standard as is true of the Ranger Raptor I think. This is a valid offering posting up against Jeep in a premium space but the Ford product is simply not in the same league as Jeep as can be seen by how well Jeep sales have held up. The "regular Bronco" is an absolutely huge off roader which does have a place in this very select market but not much of an overlanding rig which the much lower priced Bronco Sport needs to emphasize again with a standardized engine and powertrain and specific emphasis on overlanding which is currently being led by Polaris at the moment actually and neither Ford nor Jeep.

If no one saw this coming then they are not paying attention to history. Why no solid axle? We have seen this sales slide in FJ cruisers and Hummer H2/H3s before. No one will compete with the 4runner for reliability and versatility. Bronco is compete close to the wrangler and the wrangler is just easier to modify/ lift and does better off roading for the cost. Yes people have proved it can do the trails but it is just less stable and a little bit of a fish out of water and easier to break. It is better at faster off roading but most that want to do that will be much better off in a side by side. I expect to see the same sales curve drop as the FJ cruiser. People will still want something different and it does fit what some are looking for. I am looking into one myself but if you looking for a buildable off road vehicle and Wrangler is just a better start. If Toyota had a manual trans I would not even look at the Bronco but my preference is a very small market.

Toyota is paying the price for their behavior and will not earn my business until it changes. 2012 tundra wife has 2015 Highlander.....both do to COVID as well as post COVID market have not been updated and at this time Toyota is out of the mix for the replacement of both.....

Yes, FORD produces things quicker, not well, but quicker. Recalls a way of doing business for them.

Not to mention the Bronco isn’t a family friendly vehicle. It lacks air vents and cup holders in the back. How did that make it to production? Plus it’s a ford so it’s highly unreliable. Oh and it’s crazy expensive. Hard pass!

Pricing is competitive compared to other convertible, plus it's a 4 door so easier to use with a family than an S5, 3 series etc. Highly unreliable? I've taken in a lot of 2.7l f150 with 300 000km plus. Edge is extremely reliable....
