    On the headliner you can always use the steamer to clean off the stains on the steamer put a microfiber towel on the tip and start agitating it back and forth make sure not to focus on one spot keep moving the steamer works wonders

    Good morning from nyc Headliner is held by adhesive glue Heat loosens it up I use a 3” griot garage polisher with a microfiber pad Cutting pad with solution and go to town Safe practice is the best practice Don’t spray on the headliner Spray on the pad once you have mounted it to the polishers backing plate Then grab another MF pad ( I use a polishing MF pad ) and go to town to pick up whatever is there Chase it with a MFT(microfiber towel) to remove whatever it left behind Use a pump style multi sprayer to apply the drying aid that also induces protection It’s easier and more efficient as far as Energy usage and better atomized to spread evenly

    On light color seats, like white or tan, less water is better to prevent browning/wicking after it dries. I will usually opt for regular spray bottle for chemical, drill brush, hit with steam, and then scrub up with microfiber. Get a fan on it right away if u have it. The faster it dries the better. Its not as big a problem on carpets unless its got a thick matt underneath.

    Unlikely. If you look closer, you can see the bubbles are irregularly shaped. Air bubbles trapped in tint would have round edges with transparency. Those spots are most definitely chemical stains or hard water spots that got baked in for a long time. 0000 steel wool, glass cleaner or polishing it with a DA is a way to get it out.

  • @derrickmartin1208

    I tint cars , that is definitely debris trapped under the tint, which causes air pockets because the tint couldn’t lay down in that area. There’s no such thing as a uniformed “air bubble” , they appear in all shapes

  • @scykotic

    @scykotic

    2 жыл бұрын

    That looks like seeding to me. Cheap windshields that weren't put together in a clean room or cheap glue holding the layers together and allows contaminants like small seeds that float around in the air to get in between the layers of glass. Looks fine when installed, but later as those seeds get some sun, they produce gasses that make the bubbles. I had a replacement windshield put in on my car, cheap, but a few months later this same thing started to happen and eventually the whole window gets like that.

    Hello, Idk if anyone has mentioned this. But after extraction I would go over it dry a couple times, no water. This will prevent wicking, which is when spots come back after extraction. Get upholstery as dry as you can as fast as you can to avoid wicking. You can even throw a fan in there to dry while you work on something else. Idk if you’ve experienced wicking, but it will avoid any possible redos or reservices or anything of that sort. This channel definitely caught my attention man, glad to see you enjoying the trade.

    I have this issue with Yelp all the time. Totally stopped giving estimates off what they select and just ask what they specifically want. Also you shouldn’t use a drill on headliner either. To aggressive and should use a softer hang brush or detail brush

  • @trailrunner4822

    I wouldn’t use a drill brush on the headliner . Detail brush , or dab with microfiber towel gently . I myself have the customer sign a terms and condition acknowledgment form before any service . One clearly states the risk of the headliner being cleaned and possible future damage can occur and it’s not recommended .

    Hey bro, nice videos. I really like your positivity. Let me tell you about wax/sealant durability. Very good wax i use they call 12 month wax and it will hold up max 3 - 4 mnths ( applied by hand on decontamined and degreased car) - similar results with machine applied sealant . Spray wax i personally dont use but i guess it can hold for a 2-3 weeks max. Even the best hard synthetic wax wont last a year and no spray wax will last months even if you dont move your car from a yard. You need to tell truth to people. What YOU expect from the product and not whats written on the label otherwise they may get disappointed - my advice. Good luck

    instead of using a sock. you can use a woman's ankle stocking. You will get better suction with that. The sock or stocking is used to keep debris out of the recovery tank so it does not clog your drain out. Mytee even sells the stockings but you really can use any stocking.

    I would say that this is on you as the business owner. It is part of your job to educate the customer on the service they requested. You need to realize they are not pro detailers and may not know the lingo of what they are selecting. After seeing a paint correction ordered and seeing the vehicle didn’t need that service it should have been an education for the customer at that point. Not saying this to put you down just my opinion. Keep up the good work!!

    that sock thing is not a good idea it will prevent Vacuum power. 🤦🏾‍♂️ Pre vac is important in removing insoluble soil, which will help the overall cleaning process.
