Exactly. The solvers can’t solve as good humans can go beyond the math we know of. So like that wacky test thing you tricked me into doing I picked to fold and the computer forced me to lose $500 instead like it’s better in the long run I get it but I ain’t going to live that long you know

@Daniel Negreanu the thought occurs, that if you like chess and poker then you might find super fast chess fun. In 15 second chess, called ultra on lichess, if you never premove you will lose on time, but if you're opponent knows you are premoving then they can exploit. So there is kind of an element of bluff. (random idea.. b.t.w if 15 seconds is just too fast, there's hyper which is 30 seconds (but there you have to stick to regular moves more because if you're dead on board, they usually will have time to convert.) - I'm quite addicted to it, and I don't think that many people even know about it, but it's definitely a fun way to learn actual chess to some degree as well. Because you're getting a much bigger sample of games. plus it's super convenient, with the whole game lasting less than a minute.

As some others commented, I think one take away that was not mentioned was that Daniel with about 160 big blinds only was risking 10% of his stack with a 60k bet pre, while Cary was risking about 25% of his. When does Daniel not make this play with everything else being equal, 80 big blinds, 40 big blinds? 100% Daniel doesn't reply to this question, but I'm glad he shared.

One of the things I've noticed about Foxen is how much attention he pays to hands that he isn't in. He's made a few side comments at the end of pots that reveal he knew exactly what was happening.

The silver basically said if it confusing and you can’t really tell at all what the guy has then check maybe he will tell you next round of betting otherwise bet for value

Great channel. Aside from the topic in this video (which was very accurate), what do you think about Americas Card Room? I reside in New York State so online poker is very limited. I've been playing ACR for years. Never large stakes. Mostly low and micro tournaments and some cash. I will play about 5-7 tournaments a week. I will reach the bubble quite often and even min-cash. However I never go beyond min-cashing. Before the bubble I will have a commanding chip lead, within the top 10% of the field. Yet near the bubble I ALWAYS begin to lose. It never seems to fail. I also play live poker on the weekends with positive results (to the point where I have considered quitting my job to play full time) and study poker just about daily. So this all leads back to ACR and whether or not something shady is going on when players get near the money. Has anyone ever analyzed hand histories like they did with Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt Poker to see whether or not certain users are winning with sketchy hands all too often? Just curious if you know anything about ACR. Thanks for all the videos and info you provide

Would this not be a good spot to check flop in the dark then? Just as you did on the Winters analysis. Surely AQT hits your range as RFI, even with Katz's stronger holdings.

I loved this more than I should have lol, 6 deuce off suit and wins lol!! Call me crazy but this is what makes Daniel so damn fun to watch, I think he should embrace doing this more often honestly, really want to see him stay more patient though, you can tell when he gets tired he just says oh well gives in, which is his right, he is a made man, but boy if he was just a little more hungry I think he would capture 6 more bracelets with ease.

In the Nash solver world, isn’t KQs just a shove against a BB squeeze with 20 BBs? Especially with a player in between

even a Hellmuth would never zoom zoom with a 62 like this, even in his best zoom zoom days.

With the big blind ante when you are sitting on say 50BBs do you every think that you are actually on 25bbs. They say a guy has a 20bbs stack has some wiggle room but in my head you have 10bbs. Should I not think this way?

Great hand. I love the "sweat with.." when the opponent hands are hidden and for us, the viewers, to see what we would do. When we see the cards everyone is a poker master but when the cards are hidden then we start to sweat :)

I’m so surprised by how unceremoniously people leave the table when they lose. It’s like nothing happened. I think a handshake with folks at the table or something would be a nice etiquette to introduce. You don’t see chess player just gtfo without even acknowledging each other when they lose.

@@FCarraro1 and if you do mean play instead of player, then youre not gonna have a good time moving up in stakes "waiting for better spots" because your opponents will be smart enough not to, and take every opportunity where they're expected to profit. explain to me why a sensible poker player would not make a play that he knows in that specific situation is going to print money

I think if u put in a solver that utg is limping/folding 99 the solver would raise 100%, too much fold equity. People missunderstand what solver does, what we see is both sides trying to exploit the other side into they get to equilibrium, but if u change the nodes, the solver changes a lot.

The bluff's success rested on the assumption that Villain doesn't recognise that Hero goes for this play with any two cards. This assumption was correct in this case, but...

Foxen looks like a lion.

Again a Tight player is ATs a good call? Is it a better call again a loose or a tight Player?

This is what separates Dnegs and Ivey and the other elite players. They have a stone cold bluff with 6deuce in their arsenal. I simply wouldn't trust to my reading ability to ever have this kind of bluff in my tool kit.

I like your vids. Played at the aria a while ago years ago and they did not charge me for parking. I just checked and that is not the case anymore. It’s a major factor in where I choose to play. I know it’s an economic war and companies have to be shity about hiding the truth prices because money is completely fucked. Unfortunately there is nothing in the world that does not change value over time. Guess their parking became more valuable. Maybe it will reduce back down if I tell everyone not to go there. Do you think that Jager could've jammed behind you with AJ? My reasoning would be that you just called the all-in instead of jamming. If you jammed, your range would be a lot scarier for Jager (QQ, KK, AA). I know it is a risky thing to do bc you have him covered, but he would be picking up a lot of chips if it worked out. I thought of this because you always say against good players you have to be more aggressive if you want to win the tournament.

He would never rejam top of range into bb, him flatting is pretty much indicative of strength. Without risking more then the call.

Katz needs to shove over your raise. 2nd pair with the gutshot? Would you rather wait and flip or take that spot. Easy shove.

Am I correct to assume, PH and Catz have pretty similar styles?
