They're the same camera. Only difference would be underwater shots since Mate 10 is not water resistant ;)

You can't choose compression or encoding using the native camera app on the Mate 10/Mate 10 Pro, only frame rate and resolution. In short, no.

Such a deal breaker, many reviewers not talking about it's lack of stabilization in 4k and 1080p 60fps 1080p 60fps is a critical mode for making slow motion footage, but I wonder why Mate 10 can't handle it? Doesn't it use OIS? And I'm also wondering of it's slow motion capability, how to use the slowmotion mode? And how about the fps? Does it comparable with other flagship? (1080p 240fps or 720p 240fps)

So, the scene recognition is the same thing as Superior Auto...

Man OS because the sensor is trimmed to 2 mp, thus avoiding too sudden jumps

Emmanuel Santos thanks for the reply. Obviously there was a technical reason but that doesn't change the fact that other manufacturers offer it (OIS to 1080p@60fps/4K@30fps) so it is a fail on Huawei part...

So it doesn't use a Sony IMX sensor? BTW the video recording is horrible on the Mate 10.

That has absolutely nothing to do with chip power, but algorithms employed... The Mate 10 Pro seems to suffer from an issue where the picture is first optically stabilized, which messes with the electronic stabilization (because it expects things to move in a certain way), which causes it to create the artifacting. Huawei can fix it in a software update if they feel so inclined.
