HP Prodesk 400 G2 MT desktop pc - System overview and planned upgrades

Hi all this is a HP Prodesk 400 G2 MT desktop pc. Upgrades are 16gb ram, i5 4590 cpu, ssd, hdd. These have been applied as well as latest bios. I am waiting for upgraded power supply and rear chassis fan. I can then add an RX 550 graphics card. Unfortunately this system has been sold and I did not have time to benchmark. Upgrades went well. RX550 stayed quiet and cool during testing. The only issue I had is that the upgraded psu did not have a mini sata power connector for the the dvd/cd optical drive. A sata to mini sata adaptor cable sorted this. Any queries on the system feel free to comment!

does this pc require 24 pin power supply

Hi I don't have this system any more but looking at motherboard layout, main power is 24 pin with 4 pin for cpu. I am confident that any standard size psu will fit therefore. Bonus is that a replacement psu will have power for higher spec gpu.
Hey i just got myself the exact same pc yesterday also with the 180watt psu. I put in a asus gtx 950 mini in it... It works i stresstested it but im not to comfortable with only 180 watts. Do have a link to where you bought the psu?

Hi yes 300 watt better. I got mine from ebay. The hp p/n 699549-001 or hp spare p/n 712298-001 are the serial numbers you need to look for. There is one on there if you are in uk for £12.71. Read my video info text regarding dvd power.
