    You did a good job and you had a great deal of patience working on this pc !! Impressed by the fact that you were able to re-flash the bios on that Asrock motherboard. I didn't know it was possible, I've always had the idea that "if the bios is gone the MB is dead" and I was wrong.

    Hey man just got this problem with my PC, it doesnt recognize my card. I've been using it for a year it was fine until now. I switch to onboard graphics it works fine. I cut the power, Plug the display to my card and my Monitor doesnt receive signals, I keep restarting it for 5,6 times until it works with the Graphics card, Could it be that i need to reset my BIOS? If so, Tell me where the CMOS reset button is with the G1 mt Motherboard, TIA.

    +Jorgo Çaraoshi hi there! I don't think that there is any software that can really tell when a hard drive will die, so I would continue to use it if it does not give any signs of problems (realocated sectors, clicking, slow to read or write data, weird noises). But all that being said, it's a good practice to always have your data backed up, so nothing can catch you unprepaired.

    You can buy HP motherboards online for $15-30 US. Since they are proprietary nobody wants them so professional recyclers sell them cheap. Some of them are actually decent boards although not feature rich. Just do your research because some of them require proprietary PSU's as well. You can retain the OEM Windows if you register with Microsoft first. When it detects the MB has changed you log in to your account and it will activate with the new MB.

  • @UltimateDIY

    @UltimateDIY

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yes, I know that, but this is mostly valid for US. In EU what is proprietary is expensive most times because they know you don't really have a chance, but to buy it if you want to fix your brand pc. About Windows, that is true, but the original board needs to be working so you can do that.

    I think 300W. About the cooking part, jokes asside, I don't think it would have helped this mobo, because of the corrosion.
