I try and tidy them up and apply a few cheap upgrades making them usable for a more modern day experience. Hi I no longer have this system. There are seperate headphone and microphone ports on front and back. However not one for mic/phones combination.

which gpu is better?amd r5 340x 2gb or the amd rx 6400.
6400 is better but much more expensive and will be bottle necked even by i7 cpu. Ensure it's the low profile version. Also depends on what your usage will be (gaming, production etc). Some games like Team Fortress 2, Zula and Valorant should be fine with r5 340x.

Thanks for the sub! Regarding transfer of parts. Will you be using the original power supply? If not, you need to check all the connectors will match on new psu. Will the new case front panel connectors match (power switch, hdd led, power led for example)?
@@computerrefurbishment9748 appreciate your reply mate, well to be honest I went to my local shops but one of them said you can't because hp is a branded company and you have to change the mother board in order to change the case, and the other one said we have to change the pin to psu 24 pin to 6 pin converter And yea and which will cost around 200 dollars which is mad 💀
@@mrfxhd8873 I don;t have an hp sff anymore. 24 to 6 pin converter cable you can get from ebay cheap. Unfortunately there could also be other non standard connectors which a new psu/case cables would not fit. Hp usually provide good information on their past systems so search for model and motherboard layout to confirm.
does this pc require 24 pin power supply
Hi I don't have this system any more but looking at motherboard layout, main power is 24 pin with 4 pin for cpu. I am confident that any standard size psu will fit therefore. Bonus is that a replacement psu will have power for higher spec gpu.

At front panel , there is power indicator in middle ( silver) below is like cylinder indicator , what is it called .as light is blinking and no display at all
Hi. Check video connection on pc and the monitor. Ensure firmly seated. Replace and try another method of connection. Check ram is firmly seated in slots. Check drive cables at both ends. If graphics card installed, check it's firmly seated.

Check measurements as that looks like quite a large card to fit in the case. If it does fit should work fine.

Low profile card would not fit unless you removed the bracket and replaced with full profile.

Yes but 32 gb is supported in banks of 4 sticks. The system is ddr3 however ram will run at 1333mhz as 1600 speed is not supported.

Is there any need to improve airflow? Or no overheating issues while gaming?
Ensure not put in enclosed space as there is just a single exhaust fan. Some computer desks have a slot underneath for pc...don't use that. Put on top of desk or at side. During test...all seemed fine with the gpu and cpu. Repaste gpu and cpu ensure fans clean first.

Hi it's a single fan card so fits easily. Ensure your pc is the tower and not sff.

If its same cpu i7 2600, 1050ti. Any higher card would be bottlenecked.

Not the best used PC for a retasked gaming rig, but they have other uses....Mine is a Q6600 Core Two Duo @2.4GHZ 2GB RAM and an 80GB spinning platter HDD. It's my OPNsense firewall machine and has never missed a beat. Apart from reboots after upgrades to the system OS, it has been running 24/7/365 for the last 8 years non stop. It NEVER gets hot, makes very little sound when running and does all the firewall tasks with ease, the CPU has hardly touched the upper side of 20% usage and never gets hotter than 55 degrees. The only downside with them is the power supply, the board has a weird connector and only takes the factory power supply, and they are almost impossible to get now. I have 4 of these and they are parts donation machines for the firewall machine now, but so far, I haven't had to use any parts form any of them. Bulletproof old things.....
Ok for older games and should play Team Fortress2, Valorant, Paladins, Zula and similar games which do not need a high spec mahince.

Yes no problem with W10. Download and run freeware program malwarebytes. Check what processes are running. Could be malware slowing things down. If still a problem, reinstall windows. Backup first.

There is display port. You can get a cable which has display port one end and hdmi the other. Ebay has them cheap.

Hey i just got myself the exact same pc yesterday also with the 180watt psu. I put in a asus gtx 950 mini in it... It works i stresstested it but im not to comfortable with only 180 watts. Do have a link to where you bought the psu?
Hi yes 300 watt better. I got mine from ebay. The hp p/n 699549-001 or hp spare p/n 712298-001 are the serial numbers you need to look for. There is one on there if you are in uk for £12.71. Read my video info text regarding dvd power.

Hi this machine is ideal. Also try an HP tower pc with a 250-300 watt psu at least. A tower will allow something like an 1050ti full height card to be installed. Maybe replace cpu with an i7 and add 16gb ram, ssd. You can add a wifi usb dongle from Tp-Link.
Hey I bought this it has a i5 3rd gen 8gb of ram and the guy I bought it from says it has 100-150 watts what gpu can I get for 45 or less
r5 340x as in this build. You are also restricted to low profile cards. I am not aware of anything else in that price range. 1050ti would be above that price I think although you can try and search for one on ebay.

How to change power supply?
Hi I do not have this system anymore but they are usually easy to remove. 3 or 4 screws on rear of case. Make a note of where the connectors go before removal.

How did u installed the bios version 2.14?
Goto hp website search for the pc and bios. Put bios file onto usb stick. Boot into bios and select option to flash bios.

Well im planning to convert everything in my pc to a gaming pc case with cooling fans so there wont be any temp issues as my cpu goes up to 70°c even in normal use
Heat was ok. Repaste the gpu and ensure cooler secured to cpu (assumed you repasted).

Hi that should work. Maybe review each bios level on hp website. Sometimes there are updates for better ram compatibility and windows 10 fixes.
How to overclock CPU,GPU on this COmputer😒
Hi cpu cannot be overclocked on this system. Use amd driver software to overclock gpu.
I have been looking through the other videos to see what components were used overall, etc. It's a shame that the best processors for the motherboard are currently unaffordable. The 4GB limitation is also a shame, of course. However, a GT 730 is really not a good choice for the project, and there is still room for improvement in the operating system to achieve better performance. I would use a HD 6670 and Windows 10 64bit from Ghost Spectre. And I would definitely not give up on an SSD. PS: For older games, I would [additionally] recommend using Linux (e.g. Mint with an XP theme) in conjunction with Lutris and DosBox instead of dealing with potential driver problems. PPS: The latest possible BIOS should also be installed on the motherboard.
Fair comments but for gaming, I don't think there is much choice above the 4400+ cpu which I have used. Anything above 730 gpu would probably be bottlenecked and not worth the outlay. Regarding win 10...32 bit is less overhead than 64 bit. It does have an ssd installed. Latest bios not available and I doubt it would make much difference. Yes Linux would run fine on the system. I put an I7-4790 in mine & just run the integral Graphics for surfing the web. It's quite snappy.....3.6 ghz.
Great cpu. I do like the 1150 socket. So many cpu choices. i5 4590 for £10 is a good example.

It's a great machine...socket 1155 really does have an excellent cpu upgrade path. It will even take a low profile gpu (as in this machines case).

Any low profile card that does not need an extenal power connector will be fine. RX580 too powerful for the psu and no low profile cards. I recommend a low profile 1050ti.

2.0 I think there is just the one x16 slot with the other being x4. I do not have this system any more so maybe check the downloadable manual.

I have used these for opnsense. Add a network card or two, maybe a cheap ssd. The lenovo ones refuse to boot freebsd in uefi mode, but work in legacy bios mode.

@@computerrefurbishment9748 From my understanding it is a low profile card and it does not require external power so I'm really thinking about upgrading one of these. RX 6400 low profile seems like a really good card for old office PC's 😁
@@zac3996 Should be ok but be aware the cpu may bottleneck it. Might just be as well to get low profile 1050ti for half the price of 6400 but your choice. I'd also upgrade the cpu to i7 in addition to get the most out of card upgrade.
