Great review! Of the 4 or 5 reviews I have watched this is by far the best one! It was very clear, well done, and covered some things that other reviews did not mention. Especially useful was the advice for entering your wifi password as the HP method did not seem to work for anybody. Thanks for your efforts!

Hello. I followed all the set up instructions however, after I did the test page that came out fine, I needed to print something else, and it only printed half of the page and where it shows how full the cartridges are, the color one shows empty. (it's a new cartridge) Do you have an idea what is the problem? I'm getting frustrated. Thank you.

Great video. I set it up on my iphone no problem... unfortunately my mac isn't 10.14 or later so I don't think I would be able to print from my mac directly? If there are any ways to bipass this problem, thanks for letting me know.

Mine just arrived from Amazon on Sunday. Set up and registration took just a few minutes. I have a HP Laptop and 2 Samsung Chrome Books which all print to this printer

I have watched this video a few times after attempting to setup using the user manual but I can't get anything to print. My computer tells me that the print is complete, but nothing ever printed.

on my phone it says they need a password for the wifi but it doesn't let me type it in. It then tells me there are no wifi networks

SOS: on my Dell Laptop with chrome everytime I go to install HP smart for 4155 it tells me I have to enter my Microsoft account (email?) I put in my AOL account and pw and won't accept. HA??? have windows 8

I accessed this video after the automatic set-up failed. You're right. Don't use the automatic connect process. Actually, I couldn't get the HP App to work either...not at all. So I just wet to my laptop set-up for adding printer and it worked! Didn't go any further with the HP App. Totally confusing, no provision for going backward in the process to restart. When tried to unplug and turn-off the printer to reset, it kept ignoring that and sending me into the circle of "printer offline" hell. A complete fail on HP's part in helping the user set-up their printer.

I got an ad for HP Instant Ink immediately after watching this video. 😂

the mobile version doesn't seem to let me find networks or manually connect with my password. very unfortunate.

Absolutely terrific teaching video. I realize 18 months old, but printers tend to go way down over time. (FYI they apparently took recommendation re cardboard in back by paper loader and removed on my recent purchase). I have taught at corporations, schools and military and this video is the epitome of the way a step by step "how to" video shouild be done. Bravo, and mahalo from Hawaii.

This printer replaced my 2700 series with the 4152. I cannot get the cartridges to fit. I called HP support & they said the cartridges I have for the 2700 fit the 4152. What is the problem. I had no problem inserting the cartridges with the Lemon 2700 printer.

It asks me for a password. And then on phone I clicked the set up but it never finishes…. i somehow did it? I restarted from scratch, and then it asked different things and I “completed” that and it no longer says “Finish Set Up” at the side

Yes. If you perform the wireless setup for it, it will be visible to all computers, tablets and phones connected to your home wifi network

I purchased the 4155. When I enter the PIN it will not connect. There is no guide to indicate what the button functions are or how to scan, fax or even where to put the paper. And I can't get it set up to print from my phone. Contacted tech support at Amazon and was referred to this video. Thanks for the support link.

There’s very little difference. Often it’s because of the ink subscriptions sold with the printer or the vendor who is selling that specific model has requested a slightly different model number

It doesn't show any printers near me, even though it is right beside it.

If you don't follow these instructions there isn't anyway you can go back and undo the set up. Because I did not manually set up the Wifi, the Wifi now don't work and I can't get HP Support to assist.

You will have to connect it directly to a computer using a USB cable and perform a reset.

You simply need to connect it to your wifi network using the HP Smart app on your phone. Once it is connected to your wifi network, it will automatically be available for you to print to from your Chromebook

It does have something called mobile fax. It requires you to sign up for a subscription through the HP Smart app
