How's it everybody? Welcome back to the Rocky Fern. In today's episode of 'Show me the Green' we discuss the care for an amazing Hoya. The Hoya imperialis has incredibly large blossoms and it's a fast growing, water loving Hoya that is a must if you have the space! Tell me what you think!
I got it from the Etsy shop;

    Impressive. Love those blooms. My H. Imperialis is no where near the size of your plant, but I'm looking forward to when it blooms. It spends the summer outdoors, however, it's currently in a grown tent for the winter. Enjoy your weekend and happy growing.

    I could never grow this in Michigan. Glad I could see yours. Thanks for sharing! Do you have any carnivorous plants that require overwintering? How do you take care of them in your zone?

    Thank you for watching!! I always wonder how people with a real winter could grow these larger, more tropical varieties. Yes I do grow many carnivores that require a cool down. I follow their cues and then cut them all back, clean the roots really well, pack them in fresh, moist sphagnum and put them into a dedicated refrigerator for 6-10 weeks. Then I take them out and divide and repot. I’ll have a BUNCH to sell in a couple months lol

    Hi! Your Hoya Imperialis Pinfk is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it! I also collect Hoyas. My Imperialis Red is not blooming yet. Is it because I grow them indoor? Btw, are you planning to propagate your Hoyas and perhaps share with us. Thanks!

    Hi! Thank you for watching and commenting. I think a photo period is super important in encouraging a blooming cycle. Outdoor growing is helpful in that aspect. I did give some propagations away for my 500 subscriber giveaway but I’m open to requests!
