If you've noticed the remarkable similarities between this and ASTARTES and are looking here for more information - thank you. I really respect your desire to know more about the project. This is a parody, send-up, and love letter to both fandoms. It's the nichiest of the niche, and if you get the joke then this was all made with you specifically in mind.

Everything here is made using Blender, which is an opensource 3d software with an awesome community of creators and programmers making all sorts of stuff.
The models in this have come from DRG or have been made by me in Blender. They have all been re-skinned in Substance Painter 3d, re-rigged in Blender using a combination of custom bone rigs and Rigify.
I made the sting-tail from scratch for this because for some reason it wouldn't work or accept my original rigging solution, so that is all me.
Sounds primarily came from the DRG sound library, which you can find in Fandom online, as well as part of the the ASTARTES soundtrack.
Sound editing was done in Audacity and Blender.
I would like to make a few shout outs.
Firstly to the great and kind people who donated for the last video. I was shocked and taken back by their generosity - if that was you, let me know. I would like to credit you in the next video (but I need permission before I put your name in my description or end credits. But please, please do)
Secondly again to both my brother, and my girlfriend, who have been giving me the fearless feedback you need when you've stared at the same one minute of footage for two months and can't see it anymore, and who have supported me in seeing this thing through. You're awesome.

I was expected the driller taking the plasma gun for the final scene, but i definitively wasn't expecting the engineer shooting his grenade luncher instead. A surprise to be sure, and a funny one. Well done!

@@HoxxesFanFilm This might sound a bit weird, but when you're having problems knowing if your own jokes will land or not on release, maybe get yourself 1 or 2 people close to you to review an early version of the video to give you feedback when the video is mostly solid, but still capable to recive some changes if a joke doesn't land.

I figured the driller was going to be using the plasma pistol for that scene when I first saw this project 5 months back, glad I was right, the engineer jumping up and stealing the kill though... PRICELESS.
Everyone here talking about the Engi and Driller interaction at the end, yet I love the clever use of the Exploder the most. Yes, it is obivous and the logical choice, but seeing one of those sneaky, silent fuckers getting impaled by a picaxe before it even had the chance to make a sound and blow up, just makes me second hand proud of the kill. I think it really shows the skill of this group of Dwraves, taking out enemies before a greenbeard would even have realised that there is a bug in the first place. Keep up the good work. The next part can't come soon enough.

Part 3 is here ! Whooo ! In one hand, I expected a better recreation of the "sneaky astartes killing the hidden heretic with heavy rifle" scene. On the other hand, engineer stealing the killing blow from driller in the "plasma shot scene" at the end was totally unexpected but hilariously fitting for DRG humor. Keep up the good work. Rock and stone !

Okay, I was really excited about the plasma charged up and ready to deliver punishment, only when the Engi pushs Driller aside just to "pop" is another entire thing that is funny.

Engi had a personal beef with that menace, he just could not let it live! Gosh, this recreation is getting better and better!

god damn it I was looking forward to the scene with the EPC as the epic plasma pistol-through-smoke shot but you really one-upped the Astartes scene with true-to-game dwarf behavior hahaha. Makes me want to play more Engineer

That last scene highlights what I like so much about this animation: the content takes inspiration from the original astartes animation while also blending the shenanigans and gimmicks of DRG. Rock and Stone.

You are a genius in mixing those 2 universes (Astartes movie and DRG) together. The scenes are freaking awesome adapted and very similar to the original Astartes movie, but you still managed to push the feeling and humor of a game of DRG. I'm very impressed by how well this is done and animated (plus sound and all the things that come to make this masterpiece) and I have to thank you for creating it 💜

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT! The driller getting covered In glowing goop looked really cool, and the grenade being sent through the smoke was so sick!

Once again, a masterful continuation of the series. The fan base of DRG is just to hard to quit, gotta play again when I have time.

The Dreadnaught Twins were an obvious choice, but I didn't expect the Menace as the multi-las! And using compacted dirt to represent the vault door is a great idea too! 😁👍

When I saw the first two parts I always ask "How are they gonna do THIS part" and its always pleasantly surprising. It was such a good idea to use a menace as a substitute for the big emplacement.

The menace never did the most damage, being able to tank 3-4 shots easily while you’re lining up a shot to stun. They’re still dangerous because they just don’t stop

I like the detail of gunner with his armscoil gun fitting the final scene more, but having to use driller for his neurotoxin grenades but the EPC still fitting the feel.

Hey thanks! The sound was really tricky, particularly splicing the music so you can't tell it's been cut in places (some of it more successful than others) I also *suck* at the sound part and had to bodge it together a lot, so I really appreciate the compliment

OH DOPE, LET'S FUCKING GO! There's some minor deviations away from the original film here, Engi 'nade and such, but nothing enough to be too much of an issue. Didn't see the Twin Detonators coming. Still looking forward to the rest. Can't wait to see how it plays out. Oh, and the end definitely has to have the "Hall of Giants" scene with a million golden statues of Karl.

Gunner would make more sense with the armscoil, but gunner doesn’t have the “smoke”, driller does with his neurotoxin grenade

No word other than "sublime" can describe this project! :D All of my predictions and expectations about what would be the plasma shot were subverted. But unlike the modern media slop, this subversion was actually good and funny!

I have watched the original Astartes and played Deep Rock a few too many times, and this is bang on. The subtle variations are awesome, the stingtail and exploder sneaking up were genius ideas. Incredible work OP, looking forward to the next installments!!
