I went with my niece to a fundraiser. Brooke was there. She walked around, greeting people. I asked if I could take a picture of her and my niece. I was so nervous I forgot to thank her.

Brooke is like artwork, but mostly she is human. She should have been treated as a human being, but she wasn’t. I think she has turned out amazingly. She is grounded and balanced. Lovely person inside and out.

I’m a 65-year-old woman and Brooke shields to me is a legend. Her heart is full of love. She’s an angel on every level and this interview was so sweet. I listen to it three times already. We love you Brooke. My daughter is equally as beautiful as you are. And I told her early on you better not be a celebrity. Do you want to walk out the front door every time you go to the grocery store with that paparazzi

I always admired Brook Shields. She's never been involved in a whiff of scandal. Plus, she's kept a healthy perspective on her fame. She can be humble, and not gratuitously either.

I saw Brook Shields on the April 7th in Saranac Lake, NY, at the Hotel Saranac. She use to have a home here in the Adirondack mountains. She was up here to watch the “total eclipse.”

@@user-xx2hj7xb6b No it was definitely scandalous. Not maybe. It’s just a weird descriptor to apply to her because her early fame was in part defined by scandal, and there’s a good chance you wouldn’t even know her name without that element of scandal.

@@EastSide-qc5oy We'll have to agree to disagree. As an adult, Brooke Shields never became embroiled in the kind of scandals we hear about with other celebs. I don't find her iconic Calvin Klein commercial ("nothing comes between me and my Calvins") scandalous.

I must have got put in the sweet kid fan letter pile. I remember getting a phone call from Teri after writing to Brooke back in 1980 or so. I didn't get to talk to Brooke, she was at school but Teri was very nice. I got 4 or 5 of those form letter post cards....I think I was 12 or 13, Brooke was 15. Wish I still had those postcards, they got lost when I moved

Brook was my childhood idol as a little girl. I see similarities between our relationships with our Moms and I admire her courage to share her experiences and journey with all of us. I totally understand what she describes. I too was that perfect child and wanted to always be so good. Got such praise from my parents whom I love dearly, but unless you’re a daughter it’s hard to get insight into the complexities of a mother/daughter relationship. Similar to Brooke I totally get that feeling of wanting to grow and to be challenged. I think Brooke is an amazing person and I still admire her till this day. ❤

Brooke is such a sweetheart. I went to boarding school with her stepsister and was good friends with her for a while since we live in the same city. I’ve never met a more aloof girl or someone who lives in the shadows of her sister. I imagine it must’ve been hard being compared to her older sister all the time.

Teri Shields allowing the controversial/scandalous photos of Brooke at 9 yrs old shouldn't have happened. But the reason the courts ruled in favor of the photographer was that Teri signed a consent form / photo release waiving Brooke's rights & acting as her guardian. From a strictly legal standpoint, the photographer had to win. What I find questionable on Brooke & Teri's part is that BEFORE they sued the photographer, they themselves included some of the less graphic photos in a book that THEY published, "The Brooke Book." The judge ruled that the photos could still be sold, licensed, printed but not in any publications with prurient interests. Meaning they couldn't be sold to adult/porn magazines. If you look at the entire project, it was an art project that was a series using different child models, but as Brooke stated "she got the bathtub assignment." Brooke doesn't give the full story when discussing this.

If I had had a pimp for a mother (like a Kris Kardashian or a Terri ) maybe I would’ve ended up rich and famous. But my mother dressed me and Lilly Pulitzer and wouldn’t let me pierce my ears until I was 13. I wasn’t allowed to watch any movies growing up. I went to school with brooke and we were friends we live in the same town together. we grew up in the same area, but we raised so differently.

Imagine being a solid 7 in a small town!!!!!! Oh, and now she's only woman who was ever victimized? Yes, she's the most beautiful woman ever. And yes, women gain weight and do other things to be unattractive because we aren't celebrities and don't have bodyguards. Stern made his millions by objectifying beautiful women. Brooke isn't the first woman you have interviewed!!!!! Oh wait - You brought Fran on to attempt to exploit her story......smh
