Brooke Shields Doc

Комедия

I am going on tour! Get tickets at heathermcdonald.net/
Comedians Brandy Howard and Julie Goldman and I watched Brooke Shields's Hulu documentary about her childhood, during which she was sexually exploited on TV and in film. Then Brandy presents an excellent argument for who killed Rob Wone, a documentary on Peacock. I will update you on the latest on Scandavol and our predictions. Brother Husband on TLC should be about gay half-brothers instead. A billionaire's wife leaves him for a lesbian. I recall Stormy Daniels' memoir and what irked her.

Brooke is gorgeous. I love you all but no Brooke doesn’t need lip filler because her lips used to be more full. She doesn’t need anything cosmetic. She’s allowed to age.

It's amazing to me that Brooke Shields ended up as balanced and adjusted as she did because the sexualization of her as a youth was profound, between Pretty Baby, Blue Lagoon and the advertisements there was no path for her to follow that didn't involve exploitation. It was weird at the time and has only gotten worse in retrospect

Inspite of the guy being found with his own jiz in his bunz... I was oddly soothed by bj (Bra 'n Jools) maybe having had no sleep and went to McDonald's for breakfast. Then did my Easter break shop in aldi. The edgy convo was oddly soothing. 🎉😂 In that I live in the UK there was this guy found who worked for the secret service found contorted in a suitcase here once. Totally vexed by today & this oddly soothed me....Julie was quiet until the brother / sister wives thing

My dad was a high school teacher and football and basketball coach. He was Teacher of the Year plenty of times. His students loved him and still to this day talk about him to me when I am in town. He was also a single father to me, a girl. So seriously, Brandi, you are offensive and it's not cute or funny. Usually, I would never get offended over comments like this, but geeshhh...unbelievable.

Have to disagree about male teachers. As a retired (female) teacher in a Title 1 school, so many of our students came from homes without a positive male role model. The few male teachers at my school played such an important role, beyond the academics. (If anyone made a similar statement about women, you’d be raising the roof - rightfully.)

Jodie Foster apparently had a mom that managed her too and I believe had a complicated relationship with her family. Brother wrote a book some years back (he was also briefly a child actor). Apparently Jodie was not pleased and I believe they are estranged. I lived through the 70s and it was crazy the things we just accepted back then . I can't wait to see the Brooke Shields doc.

If they make a c or d on a test or paper, they let them redo it over and over until they make a better grade. It is crazy. I didn’t have that option when I was in school.

Great episode! People seem to be getting upset over the comment about men not being teachers or coaches. It's important to realize that over 90% of sex offenders are men and they are more likely to re-offend than women. They seek out jobs with children and target then groom the most vulnerable. The damage they do is permanent. What reason is there for men to coach girls gymnastics? If anyone wants to protect children this would be a good place to start.

According to RAACE, 80-90% of sex offenders are men and 10-20% are women. Over 90% are someone the child knows and trusts. Therefore I guess men should not only not be teachers and coaches, but should also not be fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, neighbors, or family friends. This is a serious problem but the efforts to address it should be just as serious. Demonizing all men because some (approximately 3% in a given community) are predators is narrow, prejudicial thinking. It brings to mind the old viewpoint that women who dress seductively are “asking” to be assaulted. I thought we had progressed beyond that type of thinking.

Hurricane kitty geez it’s scary you’re home schooling your kids with that mindset. You’re a closed minded idiot sheep. So then using your idiotic mindset, I guess you’re teaching your kids to play with loaded guns, and how to oppress others that aren’t like you.

@HurricaneKitty67 do you seriously believe that homeschooling will prevent your child from being gay or transgender? I hate to break it to you, but it won't. I hope you still love them if they do come out to you someday.

@@PetesSake217 I would support my child finding their own truth gay, transgender or anything else. I would not support them being encouraged to fit another person’s agenda. Plus I believe the schools do a horrible job of educating children.

Heather, always so good and love Brandy and Julie! Brooke is an amazing woman. I wanted to be her and admired her as a young woman. Her movies were formative to my teen years. Iconic. Classy, intelligent, talented, kind and beautiful. She has a beautiful family and is a wonderful mother. Her history is extraordinary and how she endured those experiences is beyond. God bless.

Not to be a Rachel defender (I am not!) but in terms of her almost semi-detached, unfazed, borderline anti-social behavior - I just learned that she was adopted by her aunt Laura after her mom Susan had her, or something, b/c her aunt had trouble conceiving, but then she was raised in the same family as her actual mom. That had to confuse a person a bit, or at least perhaps maybe make them question a) their own identity and b) the interpersonal relationships they form within a close knit group of people. It seems like she learned how to detach early on, and that is why she seems shockingly shallow to us. Just a thought. Or she is REALLY a moronic giraffe LOL. Love you 3 ♥♥♥

Heather! I lived in DC at the time of the Wone murder and trial. I even went to several of the hearings, saw the threesome on the sidewalks! The case was so fascinating. It’s horrible that Wone’s wife has no justice. In those guys blog, we used to talk a lot about drugs used by the throuple and wondered if they were all high that night too. IMO, Dylan & possibly Joe did the deed.

Is anyone as disgusted and disturbed by the mothers of these child actors who are exploited by these men? They wouldn’t be exploited by these men if the parents used better judgment. I agree that all of this was disgusting and disturbing and reeks of grooming, but what about the parents who put these children in the position? It is our job as a parent to protect our children, where was any of this? I am so impressed that Brooke grew up to be a levelheaded, intelligent, well-adjusted and decent human being. Because she could be like a lot of other Lindsay’s, Drew’s, Makauley’s, Corey’s, etc.

Heather, I believe the story on Kathy Griffin and Brooke Shields was Kathy divulging intimate details about Brooke’s alcoholic mom (and her behavior at the wedding) in her act. Supposedly Brooke told Kathy she could put it in her act; however, it seems Kathy must’ve crossed a friendship line by exposing too much. The special where she mentioned Brooke’s Mom is called “Allegedly”.
