Waiting does give time for true characters to flourish (or get exposed). But if we wait too long, MANY characters won't ever get a chance to grow&improve. There's nothing like a baby. Babies grow fast. Babies are firm. Babies listen a lot. When their baby arrived it was never seen on screen. That worked for the programme I guess, but it did annoy me. I love babies.

It’s mostly because it changes the whole dynamic of the group, and he hates change.
Whenever any of my friends tell me they’re pregnant, I feel how Sheldon feels, bc I don’t like kids and I don’t like change. BUT. I’d never ever EVER say that to the person. I’d congratulate them and do my best to validate any feelings they may have (bc sometimes it’s not always good, having a kid can be terrifying). Bc that is what friends do.

If everything was wrong with having children, and for this reason people chose not to have children, nobody would be born. Including the people who think that there is something wrong with having children (they do not have to have children if they do not want to). This should be kept in mind though.
