No, It was just an point to you speak as a native, if you speak word by word and you still have no a good speech continue speaking word by word when you less wait you will be able to connect speech as a native!!

Not necessarily. But try to start learning those word chunks and trying to use them in your speech. Step by step. Give yourself time. You'll get there!

lazy you said and what the difference I have to go do it at the right pace doesn't sound robotic but most native English speakers are lazy not only Americans that's all languages look a Spanish this sentence voy al parque but some lazy or native Spanish say voy Pal parque 😂😂😂
