The first times that i listened it, i had no idea about what was he singing about cause my native language is spanish, so i only sang and enjoy their sounds. After a lot years, i can understand the lyrics and these are amazing

When I was 6 years old, I got to know Michael's music and I loved it, I loved and love his music, I liked it so much that I started trying to sing the lyrics, obviously I didn't know because my native language is Spanish, but unfortunately once my cousins broke up my innocence and passion making fun of me when they saw that you were making strange noises and they laughed at me, no way... but that didn't stop me and now I can sing many songs really singing the lyrics, so thanks cousins for make me strong and give me my first and most important goal for learn english: Understand my favorite music.

Hi there! Love this lesson. Actually the same happened to me. I used to listen to American songs, mostly rap, hip hop and rnb. I've got a huge playlist of music I picked because of the flow. When I started to understand the lyrics I removed the majority of them being that they were too silly. Conversely, I've started to listen to music I didn't like before due to their lyrics sometimes so deep.

I like the meaning of "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls, because you can feel the essence of being human, the ups and downs, in the lyrics you can feel the guy who gave up everything just to feel this human thing. Music teaches us that to feel pain is to be human, and sometimes you don't have to like things to accept it. Thanks for the podcast, keep up the amazing work.

My favorite song is Levitating,by Dualipa😊.As you said in your podcast that is a “holy grail”type of song.the rhythm and the lyrics are both amazing.Take the first verse “If you wanna run away with me I know a galaxy and I can take you for a ride”first it sounds like a queen who is quite powerful are singing this,but after more than 100+ times repeat,You’ll get it’s more like a solo ,of a little girl’s dream,just whispering something to the “suger boo”in her mind.in fact not a Queen singing but a little princess 😊 ,after all she said that’s just a “premonition”.What makes this song more sweet and cool🎉

I like the meaning of Green Day's "American Idiot", because it concerns to a lyric which was written in the early 2000's but still speak a lot about today. I would say that the message is even more current than when the album was released.

Hey! I'd like to describe the lyrics of one of the songs from my Hip-Hop/Pop playlist called Loser by Sueco. The first two lines go: "If I had a Death Note, uh I would write my name on every page, uh", which refer to the magic notebook from the manga of the same name. If you write any person's name in that notebook, it will die. That means that Sueco is very depressed and has suicidal thoughts. And actually this song is all about his tough condition and how everything he does fails. I like to listen these types of emotional songs, when I'm sad, because they reflect my mood at that moment and make me feel better.

I love the meaning of "falling" by Harry Styles. In my point of view, I understood that the song told me about someone who broke feelings of someone he/she loved. He/she wanna fix it, but it doesn't have any chance and it's drowning him/her. All he/she can do just survive from the things that makes him/her drowning. Drowning in that song means someone's regretful.

Hey people from real life english, i have been trying to pronounce the word "choirs" in the same way that Thiago did, but google can't understand me, and when i cheked the pronunciation i found that they pronounce it in another way. could you please tell me if there are different ways to pronounce it?

My favorite song is Space Oddity by David Bowie because the dialogue reflects human fragility and the need to connect with others. Besides the achievement of the astronaut, he feels alone “I sitting in a tin can” and useless “planet Earth is blue and there’s nothing I can do”. The lyrics also highlight communication barriers; the messages from ground control (symbolizing society) come across as vain and futile to this individual who, despite being successful, feels utterly isolated.
