If you are in the US and you do not have anyone to practice English with and you do not know how to speak English you should roll back to your country and apply for immigration status legally. And also learn English while you are waiting for the paperwork to come through.

It is because of (1) connected speech, (2) reduced function words, (3) wide variety of slang, and (4) quality of the sound (interference from background sounds like musics, sounds effects, and so on). Train (1) and (2) as much as you can, and you will get better. Regarding (3) and (4), forget it.. just use the subtitles as a crutch, as more than 60% of native speakers do.

Yet another great podcast lesson ❤ I got some tips to overcome my shyness & learned a bunch of new vocabulary- to hinder, a trip/walk down memory lane, to cringe, a tweak, social butterfly, practice makes perfect, to be in the zone, a fish out of water, from the get-go, to blossom, a homebody, couch potato, wanderlust, aha moment, to be stuck in a rut, to tip sb off, melange of, outgoing, vicious cycle, insurmountable, to put sb/sth on a pedestal, to muster up the courage, to flop, to laugh sth off, to take the edge off sth, a wallflower, lean on sb, right off the bat, to catch up on sth, to reek, to work one's life away, to barricade, pardon my french, shitstorm, to abhor.

Hi. What do you call writing? Cause if you mean writing a bunch of words together without making any sense and with lots of mistakes, then probably writing is easier. However, writing is one of the most difficult skills when it comes to languages, even for native speakers of any language. I mean of course properly writing. I'd say that anyone is a speaker, but not everybody is a writer. I have to agree though that speaking has the added challenge of producing the language in real time, which it could be really hard for a number of reasons, shyness, lack of vocab, not understanding, fear of being judged, etc.

Maybe your confidense is a result of your profession cos you must speak with people a lot But for me it depens more from sosciaety in with i m beeing cos for me maybe not comfortable to be with people that i have no somerthing to speak about or if they have a deliberate agression I think its not depens from confidense it depens from sosiaety And earlyer i was in rather better sociaety but unfortunatly cought speak with sombody too cos i was complitly different person And it means that its all depens not only from confidence but more from personal situation

Hi! Yes, it may be quite challenging! Try to listen slower a bit for the first couple times, and rely on subtitles. With time you'll train your ear and it will be easier to understand at normal speed! You can change the speed in the video settings. Thanks for learning with us! ❤️
