Honestly your videos are the most thorough I’ve seen on installs. Appreciate the time you take to explain everything, it’s super helpful. Have a 2019 YFZ 450r and just picked up a Rossier R5, Vortex, FCI intake, 38 Motorsport breather and ASI delete, and a Precision Racing steering stabilizer. Would love to see a steering stabilizer install video if you ever install one.

awesome video man! i got a 2014 yfz450r with fmf exhuast and filter with air box lid off. what map and settings should i be at? trying to avoid spending the extra money to bring it a dyno since i’m not a racer just a weekend rider! Thanks

Hey brother your videos have helped soo much! I know your in Fl hope you faired well with the storm. I’m in Naples and thank you. Question: did the full RP Racing kit with throttle body. It’s saying with the TPS sensor Dino is needed to get the TPS to 0?

Thank you! We did good in the hurricane. Hope you did as well. You have to calibrate the TPS. I always do it when I dyno tune. When I flash tune, if the machine is here with me I also make sure the calibration is up to pare. If you’d like to schedule dyno tuning or a flash tune let us know!

So on a stock Yfz450r what is the best setting on the Vortex. I should have my Vortex next week.

Hello! New YFZ owner and just got my ECU today! Super excited! I have an all stock YFZ and it is running a little lean. Hence the Vortex came in. What are the best settings for my stock YFZ? I just wanted it to run right. No mods or anything as of today.

My 14 YFZR sounds like it’s pretty close to yours and I ran map9 7low 7 mid 2 high

Can more than one person tune the vortex? I’ve been told that it can only connect to the original laptop that tuned it

I have a rp racing exhaust with the rp intake with an ais delete kit and my motor is stock I just don’t know what type of tune is needed I have the vortex set to 1 because it is a stock engine I just don’t know where the low mid and high need to be at

I only use my yfz450 in dunes and I installed a full exhaust which cause my bike overheating quickly and loss of power in low speed. However just bought vortex after i watched your video. Do you recommend any mapping for me ?

Highly recommend sending it in for remapping (which we do). The factory maps are just base maps. RP wasn’t around when they made those base maps. Hit us up on IG or FB if you’d like to send it in.

I have a vortex ECU and every time I put the bike in gear and let the clutch out, the check engine light comes on. Squeeze the clutch it cuts off.

Vortex doesn't come with software to download to laptop?

Know any tuners up on the north east just grabbed a 2016 450r exhaust intake and the vortex

How are the ones for the raptor? Someone recommended going with a pc5 as it’s vortex is more for 450(even though they made one for rappys???)

The vortex is the best thing for raptor or 450. Pc5 will work but the tunning capabilities are nothing compared to what you get from the vortex

Well I have a vortex and my exhaust still glows a little bit.

I live in Florida is rhere anyway i could pay you to dyno tume my 450??

I have a msd fuel control and it sucks ass imma get a fci and a vortex ecu then imma take it to the dyno

Question. Do you know what all the dual injector setup includes for the yfz450r. I know it involves a ktm throttle body but dont know which one. I also know it envolves a vortex tuner and it needs a different harness but thats all I know. Can you help with any info that you might know of

I don't run the dual injection system due to a high failure rate. I stopped looking into it 3 years ago.

hey man i just got a 2020 yfz 450r se and....i have been hearing that the clutch baskets explode im going to be racing my machine but nothing crazy like a gncc should i be fine for at least this season?

If you’re hard on the clutch I’d be a little concerned. But if you’re easy and smooth on it then you should be fine. I highly recommend changing it to a Hinson H313 Basket or a 2009-2013 OEM basket.

@@thatyfz33 bnr has a kit/parts put together for a customer in one box. I setup a lot of custom kits for a lot of my customers. Something easy to drop in with a the needed parts

I would like to have seen dyno runs without the airbox lid and the peashooter removed.

You lost me when you said it’s easier to strap down without nerf bars…. Just strap to the nerf bar hellllllloooooo!!!!!
