How we made our red English telephone booth
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Go to www.buildeazy.com/k2phone-1.html for plans and instructions on how to build this red telephone box.
It is a K2 style telephone kiosk. The K2 telephone box was deployed around London in 1926.
It is now an icon and a listed building.

It's a taking Pont
Good work. These phone boxes hold a special place in the heart for us Brits old enough to remember pre-cellphone. A shelter from the rain, a lifeline to get home. The yellow glow of the light on a dark rainy night, you've lost your friends, 20 pence and a call home. 'dad, sorry to wake you up, I'm stuck... can you pick me up?' I'm no expert but the really really early ones were of a wooden construction, but in the 1980's they were cast iron I think, the wooden ones having been phased out and replaced by the 1950's.

Lee Johnson We had some down here in Australia too, I was only a little fella but I remember them. Great design
I just purchased your plan...wow, it is very well done...thank you for making it available
I created an account "just" to tell you that is hands down "one of" if not "the" most creative/brilliant/skilled post I have ever seen on Youube! I am speechless!
Love you phone box. Always wanted one. Thanks for your video. Inspired me to build my own
Absolutely brilliant !!

great video, nice job with the telephone box, thanks for sharing
I'm thinking about making the more common K6 model, but your model is fantastic! A big round of applause from,me in the UK. :)
You are 1 talented woman well done love your work
Holey Moley! This was amazing! I wish I could do something like this but I TOTALLY lack the skills, strength, and stamina to pull this off. But way to go! This would be one of my favorite places to go! Well done! :)
Amazing, great job
That’s Awsome! Nice job
Awesome work!
this is a Fantastic project! Great Job! Liked and Subbed! I have always loved the red phone boxes they have in England. but I hear British Telecom has removed pretty much all of them , so now there are hardly any now. I just saw on a you tube video that they just have these big Ugly plastic and aluminum things, that look more like an enclosed bus shelter. Heck we dont even have our old closed in phone booths here in the US anymore. and the open Payphones have just about gone since so many people have cell phones now.
awesome project!
Awesome great job! I make and design the majority of my props for my studio Kudos Ladies!
Very cool .....great job !
love it!
Very cool, thinking about upgrading my outdoor toilet with a telephone box. This is way better than I intend to do but I guess you can get carried away.
Good job keeps the K6 British Icon in the minds of everybody now that they are removing them in Britain
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant!
Impressive!!!
iv sheltered from the rain in quite a few of these .nice

Wow incredible.. ur awesome looks great! Love it subscribed... :-)
muito legal, gostei, parabéns!
Id like to see some of these phones back out side with these phones its another reminder your in england also there nice these retro phones
We had all our red phones boxs replaced with rubbish 'modern' ones! :( you cant beat the good old red phone box! Nice job!
Wow well done! What type of wood did you use for the frame? Could you use pressure treated soft wood?
A home theater audiophile friend of mine copied this phone booth to stuff all his electronic gear inside. It divides his home theater/digital play room from the bar and rumpus room.
I want one for my room and turn it into a library..
Looks amazing! How long did it take and at what cost, roughly?
Looks good. I would have just fiberglassed the top instead of the cement mix.
Great job. Can you state the name of the track please. It's AWESOME!! GO THE BLOOZE!! :-)
Yea I can’t do all that lol super dope tho but I need a DIY I can do 😢😢😢😢
That dome had to weigh a bit. Is it a cement you used there? How long did it take you to build this booth? Have you done all this woodwork by yourself or with help of others?
Your daughter is lovely. Is it just my monitor or is the phone box orange ? It's a great project, we had those same boxes here in Australia, until the early '70s.
The music in the video?
good job i really adore it ....your the women congrat :p :)
Fantastic job, very realistic. I restore Red Telephone Boxes for a living back in old Blighty. & I think your work is FIRST CLASS ;) XX (Carl at Remember When UK) See us on Facebook.
How long did it took to make the phonebooth?
Song?
Do you sell?
Just need an old GPO payphone to go in it! 😀
I think this phone box and the video is fantastic!!!... and Im a woman. Thank you for the video and for your time uploading it. Im going to try to recreate one too. (Im not wasting my breath even slating GozerTheGobshites rude and unintelligent comment) x

Hi John, you can buy the plan here: www.buildeazy.com/plans/purchase-026.html
But the real question is, can you make a killer fish and chips?
I have slept off many a hangover in those kiosks. Peed in a few as well.
Looks like someone forgot to follow the age old adage of "Don't feed the troll"
I need a girl like she
Music
Make a police box ! /tardis from dr who :)
That's one way to save hundreds of pounds make you're own.
The idea that a woman actually built something like this is INSULTING and RIDICULOUS. Stop using women to get more views, and show the MEN who really built this phone booth. What has this country come to?
Key-Ripes woman! That's super cool! So do you whip up a Tartis as well? It's fairly close in shape. Just grab some blue paint! I got here while searching for Adirondack Chairs, by the way. Going to buy the template when I get back State-side and whip up a few for my porch.
