Jonah's voice is changing. Winnie is a lover of all, her heart is full. She knows tones and she picks that up through Justin. She knows more than what you realize.
LOVING the return to the old-school vlog style. Thanks for letting us see into your days
I’m really enjoying the 20-30 minute videos. Congrats to G for staying with you for 3 days. Good job.

I loved it when he said two days ( it sounded Today! )
Poor Winnie...she looked so ashamed. I wanted to give her a hug
Jonah a young man!!! It’s so many years Justin we are together ,, me as a viewer seeing how you work and think,, and making your farm a business venture!!! So much of hard work,, Lily is looking good. Mr. Brown has grown up 😢,, missing his shoes ‼️ Love you all guys n dolls ‼️
I think Winnie did her job. She can't be everywhere at once but she stopped them from getting the whole flock, which they would have, or even actually taking away one bird. She knew right away you were upset but she also knew Becca knew she did her best.
I appreciated the small walkthrough of the sheep process and the little details on how to maintain the fence and keep everything flowing smoothly!
I am enjoying the 20 minute length. It feels less rushed and more true to real life on how you are problem solving, and working through the every day things.
Winnie is very sensitive. The sheep are great lawnmowers. 🌻💖🌻
Winnie does not know, Winnie hears your tone of voice. I can feel your emotion in Europe. Yeah sure Winnie feels that..
Great family. Nothing but respect from all, kids and parents. Love your channel.
This was the sweetest. Everyone working together. Love it.
Mr Brown is getting so big!!! Love watching the kiddos do farm chores and cooking and stuff. Wish more kids were doing stuff like this. I know I did!!

I was thinking the same thing. These life skills are invaluable. Heck, their kids can out cook many adults I know! Great vlog, thanks Rhodes!!
I’m enjoying your longer videos. Thanks for sharing your life with us!
A root cellar is an awesome idea especially if you’ve been wanting one.
Dogs react to the tone of your voice…Winnie felt scolded. You can say a compliment like that and she’d react the same way.
Ug think how all of those flys feel to Honey. Makes me itch♥️
It would be nice to see 3 generations riding horses. Lilly, The beautiful one and grandma.
Love when the kids call you papa! Just too sweet! 🌻😎
I am loving you getting back to the videos you use to do... for awhile I wasnt sure I wanted to watch. But I love seeing your family again and cooking and Becky in alot more!!
Any word from Art & Bri Justine 😌, we miss them?
Thanks for another nice long video and thanks for saying goodbye!
Should call the new baby Babe, after Babe the big blue ox!
Justin- please tell us that the contractor will install a french drain against the wall. Also want to protect the waterproofing during backfill
Love this video, those precious babies working so hard!! Blessings to you all!!!
I saw something the other day. They say use coconut oil to rid you animals of flies. It is worth a try and non toxic. Wiping it on their coats and suppose to last about 4 days.
I am so glad the ole vlogs are back.
Your Daughter & Sons are great kids. Hugs often. They need that from you both. !!!
Loving the old school vlogs!! Loving your life❤️
The Rhodes are like the Mail service, always reliable no matter farming, mowing and even camping, the weather doesn't stop them.💪👍😊
Loving the longer old school vlogs!
I throughly enjoyed this episode!
Loving the new way of ending the vlogs. I've always enjoyed watching the day to day running of your homestead. Good to hear your feet are on the improve. Thank you.
Rain or shine the farming does not stop!
Just a thought, I get that you already have that area excavated, and its on the North side. But that area is one that is inundated with water coming off the hill and the road itself, which is why you are water proofing the basement now. Humidity and water leaks are going to cause your food to spoil in a root cellar. I'd be very very very wary of doing something like that there.
Awesome video. Love the OG style video and longer video. Well done. Love your farm and family Well done Uncle Justin

I don't think the "OG style" had such bad choices for music. We have the family dealing with rain, a guard dog that won't guard, dead turkeys, and some complaints about the animals (losing a lamb, Phyliss getting older), and yet the music @16:00 is weirdly upbeat. The music swells for no reason within the video.
Hi, enjoy watching your video from Laos 🇱🇦
Home Depot sell some kind of sealant it's like white paint. And they demonstrated it by running water continuously through the blocks where the blocks had no white seal paint the blocks were wet through and through but where the white seal paint was nothing passed through. You might want to put that on the inside of your walls or maybe if you can outside of your walls your Root cellar so that mold and stuff can't creep in. You know where there's hope there's life, mold oh laughing always through. That is a great video.

Dry-Lock Sealer
Best and hardest working family ever❤️ The sheep fence summary was super helpful. You made it much less intimidating…feel like I could do this!
Winnie needs a confidence friend...
Thanks for the longer video, I enjoyed it !!
Loved this day's video mix.
Have you ever thought about getting an old pair of snow skis and put them on the station?
Time for a fly control video
Looks like it's way past time to treat for flies on the cows guys - your new cow was loaded with them I thought it was her hair coat being speckled... >.< Mister Brown...I'm so proud of you helping your Pappa out now! Be sure to show us your egg. :)
Wow you guys it was not a easy day but all of you together made it work! Enjoyed the video a lot! Hugs to you all! 🤗💜🤗
I could rub the cows with vinegar during the milking time before milking to keep the many flies away from the cow. It's definitely an improvement for the cow not to have flies on her for once. unfortunately it is a job that serves the well-being of the cow
Sir cows normally kick while milking. What we do in Pakistan is to tie their back legs with a small rope and that's how they get used to it & stop kicking.
Hey🎉hey. What a surprise…….. Welcome back. From Quebec 🇨🇦
Those flies are insane! Pesky things 🪰
Thanks for the longer vlogs!!!!!
Trail cam, yay ! You need to know what is getting your precious turkeys before you get to them
Winnie has the "I'm sorry" look. I think she may have killed the turkeys herself.

It was the tone of his voice. Pyrenees do not like yelling or harsh words. If you talk in softer tone the will respect and bond with you. She thought she was being yelled at. They are smarter than many humans. Mine drank from toilet. I told her not to do that and 4 years later hasn’t gone near one. I put a doorbell outside at her level. Took her 30 seconds to learn how to operate it. Rings it every morning at sunrise to come in and rest after a long night of keeping coyotes at bay..
Great episode. Thank you
I mowed my grass once this year because of toxic fescue seed heads. The sheep take care of my lawn other than that once a summer duty to keep everyone healthy.
The new cow is very pretty. I can't get over how many flies are on the cows! Is there anything you can do for them?
Justin, how about adding a second stancion to the milking station?
Great flow on this video! Enjoyed thoroughly! Thanks!
Great video. Remember you have a yard to and if the sheep are getting close who cares if the grass is a little tall. Let it grow more feed for your food.
Maybe you can add a bedroom on top of the root cellar for the older boys?
Looking forward to the Rhodes Homestead Band.
Blessings to all!
Having hatching dinosaur eggs next to the toothbrush and toothpaste changed my life as a mom of little ones.
you need deer cameras to keep a eye on the turkeys, chickens in the fields that you get notified on phone.
A root seller would be an awesome idea for you and your family
Always watching- Gideon is you (Justin) made over. 😊
Great beautiful all round vlog.
Winnie seems off. She stumbled too. Since she has longer fur she should be looked over for bites and scratches. Raccoons can be vicious.

Assuming she has had rabies vaccination?
Funny I just watched your 2018 and as I was watching I was thinking I know your voice and suggested you watch Dr Ken Berry and then I started watching this and remembered I have watched you when you started carnivore. The thing is I was suggesting Dr Berry for your wife
Loving the longer videos!
Great show!
“Sir Loin” :)
Love you guys 🙏🏻❤️
Great vlog
Happy family every one is hardworking god bless
You're not fair-weather campers, are you? A hardy family like yours? What did the postman used to say? That became our camping motto.
My suggestion for a name of the new calf. How about Atlas?
Thank you so much for ending you videos. I really appreciate it.
How feasible is it to rotate 6 months to 6 months lambs and pigs so I harvest lamb in July and pork in January in south Mississippi. I have limited land and time to raise both simultaneously.
Is there anything you can put on cows for the flies. That would bother me so bad.
Please forgive the change of subject, Justin, but how do you keep 4 legged predators away from your chickens? When i lost one of my girls, I secured their enclosure better, but by the state of their tractor, its clear it's been back. Last night my accidental rooster lost all of his tail feathers (was supposed to be a hen). He's fine but still shook up. Im due to start on a much larger coop/run when materials arrive on 9/12. Do you have any advice for me? (Most likely predators for this area are coyote and dogs, with fox and racoon being a weak 3rd and 4th)
You got to ski up the ends of the skid mounted stuff.
What happened with the other 3 rabbits? Did I miss a vlog?
nice
Yeah Winnie totally dropped the ball on those turkeys… 😂

@@pamelaham1038 shouldn’t she have stopped the predator all together? If he lost 1-2 every couple days, he’d be down to nothing.
Hi Which company makes the backpack type toddler carrier you are wearing at 1:55?
You need a kickbar. Ask Jess
Minnies right nail looks like its fallin off, and shes walking limp on it.
NOT A CRITICISM, maybe I missed it in a previous video...Why don't you move the milking stall before you milk so the ground is fresh and clean for you during milking?
@seandoherty4236
Жыл бұрын
The cows are hungry in the AM, and are more pliable to alfalfa bribes. Were he to move them to fresh grass first, it would be harder to get them to the stanchion to milk.
Interesting I’m having basement waterproofing and people don’t understand benefits especially for whole home instead of just small fixes whenever uhave the water issue
Are those little specs all flies? Have you guys ever tried that big sticky tape stuff, I would be curious if it works or some kind of spray for her, that looks miserable, I see the deer in my yard twitching like crazy, I don’t know how they survive that lol 🫣🫣🫣
Hi. Love this bid like to have sheep and/or goats clear some ivy beds. Do you hire your 4-leggeds for this? Or do you know who does?
@seandoherty4236
Жыл бұрын
Wells Farm, Tuxedo NC rents goats for clearing. Otherwise do a search for "goat rental kudzu [nearest big town/ metro area]"
It would be so cool to see footage of whinnie chasing off some predators
Why not put the turkeys in the barn stall that you had the sheep in so you still got them all
Have Lilly watch Living Traditions Homestead. She has great video's on rabbits.
NIGHT VISION CAMERAS 📸 you can see a whole new world in the night
The sheeps natural behaviour is to go under a tree when it rains for shelter. You did not notice that? They don't have a tree now to seek shelter?
any fly wipe?
Hoss call the new calf Hoss
Put some Deer cameras on Turkeys
