Well done! I used to run a mobile RV repair truck and found that almost never did a unit that ran and cooled needed anything more than a good clean job. (Used to do a lot of entertainer buses and you would have to peel the hairspray off before you could clean the evaporator.)

People like you are great! You care about the customer. How do you do that with a 'no walk' roof? I have a 2018 ATC 24 RV Toy Hauler. The OM states unless it was optioned, the roof is not supported and no walk. It's aluminum and nothing else.

  • @missionrvservices

The best way to do this is to put a blank or covering on the roof and then a 2x6 sheet of plywood to distribute your weight correctly. Also, do not walk on the roof, only crawl.

I bought my unit used. The previous owner was a maintenance nut. He did a complete service before he sold it to me. Back to the point the ac wasn't that cold both units. So I figured low on freon or the Condenser or evaporator coils are dirty. Unbelievable the evaporator coil was filthy. The condenser was clean. I called the previous owner (we became friends) he paid for the cleaning of the A/C units 2 months prior. Needless to say he was ripped off I had to shop vac the dirt and dust off before I could spray the cleaner on it. Anyway the unit is ice cold now. Word to the wise. Check up on service techs make sure your getting what you paid for

One more thing I've noticed your not talking about the inside drip tray, I have the sane ac unit but use Spray Nine to clean the inside rad as per this unit everybody should have a look at that drip tray since it could get clogged, there's a small hole on each side and when they put the ac on the roof, squeeze the 4 bolts it make that drip right on the roof, which could result the unit to overflow in the ceiling. Watch for that!!!

Should be cautious when walking on every RV roof 😊 because you don’t know the true condition of it. AND if it doesn’t have a ladder, it wasn’t made for withstanding the weight of walking around on it, so be sure to stay toward the edges, crawl or or use a thin piece of plywood to disperse your weight, or stick to walking on the braces only.
