The work into designing those labels is mind-boggling. The amount of knowledge and planning to put that slant into "Mato Mato" is severely underappreciated.
Huge respect for people in the tomato industry! Tomato harvest is in summer and it gets really hot in the factory as well!!

Indeed! Tough work: It's monotonous as hell. you're on your feet for hours. Note that all the workers are Hispanic. When I was a kid a job in a cannery during summers was a good way to earn extra money. In California, which processes about 80% of the nationwide canning tomato crop, most of the workers are organized. At least they used to be.
The knowledge put into for the invention of this machine is just incredible👍

Brings back my childhood as a teenager I ran potato harvesters and wine grape harvesters. I do miss it , lots of fun for sure.
This brought tears to My eyes. Amazing how technology has expanded! Unbelievable! The machine even knows if a ketchup bottle didn't get a top. Just Love the geniuses that created such Amazing machines & technology!

Don't know about this one, but it's usually done manually, two or three times at day, with pressure hose with water and some sanitizer.

hector mendoza They actually have yo shifts morning and night, and in between those shifts usually the night shift the sanitation crew comes in for 4-6 hours to clean everything up. They usually have yellow raincoat overall type wear. They leave before morning shift comes in, they’re called the chickens cause of the really yellow clothing they wear

There is SIP (sterilization in place). Most these machines are sterilzed using heat. Machines which has non metallic parts are steriziled using chemicals
Used to work a gradeyard shift in a lotion company at 18 and was fascinated by the machines and the entire factory work and everyone involved. I really feel factory workers need to get payed way more

Engineers really are human. Its not that difficult if you have the drive to create and can understand math and physics. Much of that machine is derivative of other harvesting machines. I'm an engineer.

Yes but they did not show whether it was a GMO tomato or not. And of course they didn’t show what amount and type of sugar is found in ketchup which is one of the most unhealthy in the world and creates more addiction than cocaine

I'm from the central valley, in California. And I've never seen trucks, and harvesters or tomatoe picking machine look like these. This must be somewhere in Europe. I am surrounded by tomatoe fields where I live outside of town

Probably green is tougher and bounces more so they put up a wall when it bounces too high it hits the wall and go on the right garbage side. I doubt they have a supersonic camera and robot that selects them manually
