that's because it seems steps were edited out. we see a thick sludge-slurry of crushed olives (and other ingredients) getting pumped into a tank, but we see actual liquid pumped out after. it boggles my mind that the most important part of the process, the actual pressing, was not shown.

It’s not really very informative after all. It’s like saying this is how to change your oil in your car. Then showing the parts needed, a video of an engine, and that’s it. Nothing more. Pretty crap. I only watched it long enough to write my comment.

What's with the limes, oranges, and lemons? I thought olive oil was just pressed, and water extracted.

As I understand from the video, you pick the olives, then add water and lemons and oranges, squash everything together, including the olive pips and then it becomes olive oil. Think I will do this at home. Ha Ha

its not normal to add fruit, this might be a special olive oil and certainly not better than pure olive oil with no additives. Most of the times when you add something other then olives to produce olive oil its either to hide some bad odor/smell, or bad taste, or too fool some european nordics that think olive oil with herb or fruit is better(basically marketing)

Wrong, real olive oil is made only from olives, nothing added but for increasing the liquids they added lime and lemon. That is why all store bought olive oil taste so bad. I’m sorry for people who think they are buying the real thing. They can never tell the difference until they taste the real stuff. In my family we produce our own olive oil and last month we have non left so i go bought a gallon from store and made sure it’s the most expensive and says 100% real olives but it tastes nothing like olives 💔

Before watching this I foolishly assumed you crush olives until the oil is out, then filter out anything that is not oil, then bottle it. Imagine my shock. I like how you showed the procedure at least twice so we understood clearly. Next i will learn how water can come out of a tap.

The green one is not ready enough to extract the olive oil.The black is ready.That is the reason why it tested terrible.
