@@hime_ichi Just go through the periodic table by lines and you find out what the order is and yes the order is S, P, D, and F but when you are doing electron configuration its a little bit different.

Me too Im a visual learner so my teachers only talking abt it doesn’t help much

This is the only thing confusing me in chem so far, i watched several other videos trying to explain it but none of them really broke it down enough. I'm a very practical person. I find videos like these just as effective as my hour period in chemistry class. I wish they didn't count attendance so I could save time doing something else during those long periods of classes and then just watch these short videos that teach me everything that was taught in class that day, but in a simple and more effective method. because one f subshell can hold 14 electrons so you cant account for the 15th i think but this comment was 3 yrs ago so i dont think youre looking for an answer anymore

RubiMercuri Because the vertical rows are numbered, so all you have to do is count after you know which row you’re in. Also it really helps if you remember the letters as well. Good luck 🍀 hun!
