How to Write Complete Ionic Equations and Net Ionic Equations

This video covers, how to predict products, how to balance a chemical equation, how to identify the solubility of a compound, how to write a complete ionic equation (also known as a total ionic equation), and finally how to write a net ionic equation! I go over every single step to make writing net ionic equations easier and Chemistry less stressful!

If you're wondering why Pb has a 2+ charge, then read this! Pb has a +2 charge because of the given reactant of Pb(NO3)2. NO3 has a -1 charge since it is the typical polyatomic ion of nitrate and does not change it's charge. Now there is a 2 subscript on the NO3 meaning that to balance this compound out we had to put a 2 subscript because Pb must have started off with a +2 charge. I have a similar example here ➡️kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJ2exJiOfdnApag.html

Lead can have either a +2 or +4 charge in this case it has a +2 charge because Pb(NO3)2 tells us this. Remember NO3 has a -1 charge so the fact that there is a 2 subscript means Pb must have been a +2 charge. We know it is positive because metals have a positive charge.
