Yay! Happy to hear 😊
Thank you so much! My Chem. teacher didn't explain what this was, how to do it, or even what the goal really was to it and just threw us into a lab centered around it. I've been freaking out because every video I watched didn't explain that you took the subscript of a polyatomic ion only and I was getting so confused. I think I'll be able to go to school tomorrow and finish the lab fairly accurately. Thanks a million.

@SolidSiren

No no...you DONT take the subscripts. You ONLY look at the charge of each element or polyatomic ion. You ignore the subscript because it will just be a multiplier. I believe you can actually just multiply the charge by the subscript of every element or polyatomic ion, as long as you do it for every constituent of the equation.

@@SolidSiren I think they meant like you keep the 3 on the oxygen in NO3- not the (NO3)3 the 3 NO3

Thank you so so much!! We are almost done with the 2-year long chemistry course and I just watched this video now and everything from the last 2 years makes sense to me for the very first time!
i’m in 8th grade taking a 10th grade class and it’s really hard sometimes. my teacher isn’t very helpful and gives us worksheets, expecting us to “teach ourselves” just because we’re more advanced. i’ve had a hard time with school for the first time in my life and your videos are the only thing that are helping me through physical science😂😂thank you!!
This is really great and something that is seriously lacking in my teacher's lectures. I still have questions but you've cleared up a great deal of my confusion. Thank you!

Hey Melissa,I understand all types of chemical reactions but some reactions not,for example:N2O5+H2O-->2HNO3 Ca(OH)2---->CaO+H2O I know that first reaction is synthesis and the second one is decomposition,but i see that there is something more different.Can you please make a video with examples like those reactions?
