    If you get a tool similar to a stainless dental pick, you can depin the connectors then feed the wires through some of the factory holes, then they snap back into the connectors super easy without having to cut as much! I always just take pics with my phone to remember the pin locations

    Hey james i had a question from a diff video. I have a b16 intake manifold. And ordered a 70mm throttle body. In order to do this use the new gasket for a template then use sharpie to draw how much off just on the intake manifold? Then will dremel grinding blades work good? Cuz the sanders for the dremel burn up quickly

    Hey man, so I've been building my EJ1 slowly. Forged, boost, Neptune RTP, etc. Last thing I've gotta do is finish the tuck before winter really hits and I have to store the car again...so inside the front inner fender wells I cut bigger holes on each side to run the wiring. But rust is a big issue up here in Vermont. What should I do about lining these "cuts" that I made? I thought about simple electrical tape but I want something a bit more sturdy. Should I spray rust fighter around there and use some rubber like maybe cut a vacuum hose in half length-wise and line the edges of the cuts with it? Any advice would be cool you've got a lot of experience and it's my first full tuck...btw I love all your vids-been subbed for quite a while!

    Noah Dion I would use rubberized spray on the metal where cuts were made, then use rubber hose cut down the middle and wrap it around the wiring at that area u have the wiring touching metal to better protect ur wiring and keep ur cut from rusting.

    Other good products you can look into is POR-15 for large areas after you've ground down the rust, just make sure if it's going to be exposed to sunlight, to put some kind of paint over top since its UV sensitive. For exposed bolt ends, try spraying them with FluidFilm so they dont get corroded/seized. and it never hurts to apply some permatex anti-seize to any major chassis bolts you have.

    you can do this whole thing including tuck the fuse box under the dash w.o depinning or cutting a single wire or drilling any holes at all. Good job though many ways to skin a cat!

    Got a question hope you reply. That single cam auto teg you had. What harness did you use? teg or civic? Cause I know the teg use a ecu just for the trans. So I'm thinking I have to use my civic harness and ecu to get it to work or no? I mite be getting a free auto teg for some work but it's just a shell. I was planing on taking the drive train from my girls eg and putting it in the teg. Due to the fact her car was in a accident and I don't like body work lol.

    from watching this, it would take you longer to run it into the car then out of the car then cutting the frame of the car like you have.All you have to do it unplug everything, take pictures of the plugs and orientation then pop the pins out of the plug and run it out the hole on the frame and not cut your frame up.This is the way not to do it.

  • @JamesDguy

    @JamesDguy

    7 жыл бұрын

    Brycen Mazurek that's how you do it then but on 92-95 they have a slot already pre cut there. and the depinning method takes alot longer for me I was never really good at deepening connectors because when they went back together half the time the connection wasn't as good so for me this is the way I do it you don't like it do it your way this is my KZread video and this is how I do it if you want you can take what I showed you and put your own twist on it
