LS400 Wire Harness Tuck, Fender Removal, and Sub Install [PT. 2]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I remove the fender to tuck the harness away from hitting the tire. This involves repairing the wire that has been damaged. I will use this opportunity to repair the rust spot on my drivers side fender, as well as run the 12v power cable for my subwoofer. Killing three birds with one stone!

do you know what the passenger side fender harness is connected to my rims recently came off due to not being torqued to spec n it damaged the a couple of the wires pretty bad n the car wouldn't start after that i managed to separate them and i wrapped the naked wires in electrical tape but theres still no start just crank and i dont hear fuel pump prime does that side of the harness have anything to do with the fuel pump or relay

It wouldnt surprise me if that has a big part of the wiring for the car. I dont know what those wires are connected to, but its likely. If you just wrapped the wires together and just taped them thats not really a good repair, and may not be making a good connection. The wires need to be insulated (the plastic coating over the bare wire) at the very least. Its also possible there was a short that could have damaged other things. You would have blown a fuse for sure. So youll have to fully repair that harness, and check fuses/relays etc, and then after that, maybe look at the components, perhaps a fried ECU

You do indeed, I haven't really gotten around to it. My passenger side unfortunately isn't as low as my drivers side (because I suck) so it isn't rubbing as bad. But you do need to do both
