I really like the idea, but I could barely see the light when you were backing up. Even once you came to a stop and the car was closer, it was better but still not that bright. I just imagine what it would like if it were really bright out I dont think it would be noticeable at all. Does it appear brighter in person than it does in this video? Your 5% could be a factor too though. Keep the vids coming though, I will be using some of your vids for wiring when the time comes.

the only reason i think its not as bright because the 5% tint what you can do if you have tints is cut the tint where your appling the led light strip

Tony Whitney took me some time but what you have to do is Connect both the blue and the yellow to the gray wire I have the 2.0T and it works perfectly

Andres Rodriguez I’m pretty sure it would work the only thing you would need to do is find the wire diagram for your brake lights then connect it

Does yours only work when the headlights are on too ? And my wiring was red-purple Black-black and Blue-grey not the yellow idk why but that’s how it worked maybe because i have a 2.0 ?

Yes that would probably be due to the fact that you have a 2.0 I have the1.5 And I set it up where I can turn the switch to the daytime running lights which triggers and brake lights and the actual headlights switch which trigger the brake light

I don't get it, the wires are the same for all trims , black, purple, brown and gray... Mine didn't work , I have a Honda accord 2018.. Something with the design controller....

Isn’t the item have ma diagram maybe and tells which wire color does what so you will know where co connect. Because car model should not make any differemce with whatever is lighting up. Because cars rear light is always 3prong. A ground and then 1 for parklight and 1 for brake light.

I orderd brake led bulbs ill be making a video

So I connected the wires as you mentioned BLACK to BLACK, RED to PURPLE, YELLOW to GRAY but only one side (passenger side) of my LED Strip is working.

It is not safe as you are not sure how many voltage the led strip is. It could be 12v and there is no problem. But it could be less then you will burn it with 12v supply. The module could be a voltage regulator as well. If you try to remove the module you better check with an electrician how many volts the strip is without the module.

How many rows of leds are there? Because there were 3 wires used. 1st is ground. 2nd is the fading. 3rd is the regular lighting up. Now if there is only 1 row of leds and the same row lights up brighter after the fading light then the module is controlling the voltage and amperes going that is why you are seeing not so bright fading lights which actually the module is getting 12v but then sends less to the leds. And then the other wire kicks in giving more voltage (to make it 12v) and amperes thus making the leds brighter. If there are 2 rows of leds then the fading row which is not so bright is getting less voltage and amperes and the brighter row gets the optimal voltage (which we are not sure how much and just assuming at 12v maybe) and amperes for it to light up that way.

They do have the turning signal function but I decided all I wanted was the brake light To turn on only

Don't worry about, I found out what the problem is. Loose wiring in my module. Module is cheaply made. SMH

To be honest you really don’t need the module if you have extra wire you can just connect that to the taillights or you could just get a new one
