Thanks. This helped me figure out how to remove the one in a used car I bought.

Awesome! Is there a plug and play for my 11th Gen Civic Si?

Sorry I don’t think there is any direct fit ones right now or at least I couldn’t find any. If the 11th Gen brake lights are LED you could always go with some sort of universal kit.

can u install something like that on the other brake lights? I bought new led style taillight but wanted to get strobe brake lights

Yes you can. There are specific kits for the actual tail lights. This one just happens to be plug n play for the 3rd brake light. Check your local laws though first if it is ok to run.

Sorry I’m not sure if the guy I got them from still makes these. You might be limited to buying some LED flashing bulbs for the brake lights from companies like TypeRLeds.com

Do you know how an install would go on the coupe 😅

On the coupes you should have easy access through the trunk since the brake light isn’t integrated into the rear spoiler like on the Si sedans.

Hello. I have been looking into these flashing brake lights for my third brake. Can i just simply replace the third brake light bulb with a strobe bulb instead of buying a whole module? Please let me know

For non Si and Type R it appears you can replace the factory incandescent bulb with a LED flasher type from companies like iJDMTOY. Since Si already has LED from factory I think you need a controller to get full functionality. The nice thing about this kit is complete plug n play no wire splicing like some of the universal kits.

Check the link in my description. Original flasher unit was created for Type R by user ez|2a. He has a video on his channel showing the install process and links in his description to purchase.

Will this work on a 10 gen accord ?

If your connectors look the same it should work but I don’t have an Accord so idk. There are universal kits you can splice into the factory wires though it’s just not as clean.

I have a non si coupe, can I use a strobe light or do I need a module?

  • @NotJo3L

All you really need is a LED flashing 7440 bulb size which would be easier to install then a module you need to splice into the wiring harness. The beauty about these modules are that they are true plug n play but I don’t think the guy is making them anymore.

The Coupes have a different connector than sedans but use the same flasher module I believe. Contact ez|2a on YT (ez12a username on Civicx.com) to see if he is still selling these.
