How to Wire an amp and sub Mazda 3 2010-2013

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is mainly how to run all the wires, because I know I had a really hard time trying to find out where to run the power wire for the amp. This was done in my 2.0 Mazda 3 Gx 2011 sedan. If you want any more vids about the car just comment :)

If you’ve got a right hand drive auto there’s a massive plastic panel under the steering wheel in the drivers footwell (where the clutch pedal would run through the fire wall if you had opted for a manual transmission ) next to where the port in the firewall shown in this video is. Theres a piece of foam cutout on top of the plastic panel (on the interior) Simply pop the panel out (use a flathead screwdriver) and you’ve got a 10cm by 10cm (estimated) gap for your wiring ( I’d recommend you drill a whole in this for you wiring so you don’t have a giant hole in your firewall and either use some sort of gasket or sealant to prevent road/engine noise in the cabin ). You can also see this panel from the engine bay but it can only be removed from the interior. This is where my fog light wiring and sub power leads run though.

I have a 2011 Mazda 3 not Bose system and I tried to find the remote wire but I did not find it and when I put everything back together the display did not work anymore along with the stereo I have no idea what happened. I didn't cut anything all I did was disconnected the connectors and I used a power tester to find what wires gave power but all I found was the constant power and nothing else. Any thoughts on what could have happened

Enrique Moreno I would double check all the connections, and if they are ok I would check for a loose wire maybe in the wiring harness. For the remote wire, I wired it to the front 12v cigarette lighter outlet because it turns on and off when the car does.

all of the audio wires are readily available so you can still use your head unit and no half ass 3.5mm connector with loss of balance and fade... under passenger seat with Bose system

it may be fine but if the power wire rests on the heater core tubes it could possibly get too hot.

Why not just drill through the firewall on the left and seal it with silicone?

Yes if you want to wire it to the head unit you will have to buy an aftermarket head unit or purchase a LOC (line out converter) and wire that into the stock head unit.
