I just installed Eonons Android 12 unit with the back up camera. To make things easy, fishing wire through, I used a piece of old coax cable taping the ends together to pull up the cables, same from the back seat to the trunk. My head unit had a 12+ volt pigtail for power tie in built in. I connected the red pigtail with the video cable end together and the camera worked. No need to tie into the reverse lights. Save the extra step. Otherwise, get tutorial. Definitely helped me with the routing!

So if I use that black plastic cap, would you just drill a hole in it and leave it? It's not drilling thru metal that way. I still have to figure out how to get the camera cable from where it sticks to the cable under the car. I have a Mazda 2 and is not quite the same. And you don't connect the red wire behind the radio. I thought that goes to the brown reverse gear up front.

I followed your video to get the cable to the back of the car and then followed kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZoV2q8qqhsu2dJs.html to see the hatchback specific instructions. The whole cable run is hidden so well. Looks very neat and professional.

Hi, I have the same scenario ATM. When following the other video for the hatchback specs, he grounds one wire and t taps another into the "signal cable" he mentions. He is using a different camera though. Did you install an Eonon A0125? If so can you advise where you connected the red and black cables closest to the camera and also if you left the red one free near the system as he has in this video? Much appreciated!

@@dariorossi4769 Yes, I installed the Eonon A0125. I did exactly what was shown in the other video. I t tapped the red cable to the white-red wire which is the power cable for the reverse lights. I shoved the black ground cable between a bolt and a nut connected to the body of the car. The red cable near the AV system was left free as shown in this video. Hope this helps!

  • @D_Spear

It sounds like your camera might be messed up, mine is not ever green, at night it’s full color and still pretty easy to see because of the reverse lights. Also if you have to turn on your lights for the camera to work you likely tapped into the wrong wires, not too sure about the speed 3 wiring diagram but sounds like you tapped into the tail lights instead of the reverse lights.

@@digitaltapetransfers2842 the t taps should slightly cut through the wire itself, exposing it yourself would be hard to not cause damage to the wire. Since you mention it worked at first you have a loose connection somewhere.

Absolute piece of junk. The camera that came free with the unit looks to be faulty because I can't get a picture. The unit is wired up correctly but the steering wheel controls don't work. I am getting a signal from the steering wheel but the unit will not recognise it. If I try select a model in factory settings it tells me "app not installed." BUT the BIGGEST letdown is Apple CarPlay. The volume of the native radio is loud enough to be obnoxious but when using CarPlay it is so low as to be useless. I purchased the unit direct from the company. The online "live chat" function always ends up like this "The line is busy right now, please leave your message, we will reply to you asap. Thanks." They do not reply to "support" emails and there is no phone number. My money is lost. Don't loose yours.
