    Thanks for the vid. How was the quality and level of sound? I wonder that phone output is not enough for subwoofer. I have same car and I don't want to touch head unit. I want to use phone as source. Do you suggest this method? I wonder splitting audio is good or bad ? Thanks.

    Quality and level of sound is quite good. Since the sub is already powered by the amp, your phone will just output the signal, which will be plenty.

    CollegeKid 11b10 ok so you get an aux splitter, run the end into your phone, and then 1 of the 2 ends of the aux splitter goes into an aux cord goes into your cars aux port. Then, the other end of the aux splitter you have goes to an aux to rca splitter. Then you plug your rca cables into the aux to rca splitter, then into your amp. So basically you have to get 2 aux splitters, 1 is just a regular 1 to 2 port aux splitter, the other is a aux to rca splitter. And you also need an aux cord if you don't already have one. I wish I could show you a picture lol.

The amp doesnt mess with any factory speakers or what not? Ive been hoping this is possible but it seems this video is the only one with this idea. Thanks if u do answer me.

  • @PurplePenguinPowa

    @PurplePenguinPowa

    Thanks for all of the information this really helped me out. I do have one question though; can you please go into detail about the remote wire and what exactly is getting attached where? Thank you!

  • @PurplePenguinPowa

    @PurplePenguinPowa

    7 жыл бұрын

    Wes Diver yea so basically the remote wire is coming from the remote header on the amp, going to a power switch, then from the power switch it goes back to the power heading on the amp. (The power switch has 2 terminals). So you will have 2 wires in total going to the power switch, and you will have two wires in total (the power wire and other remote wire) connected to the power header on the amp. The reason for this is because the remote wire needs a 12v source in order to turn on the amp, so I connected it to the power heading on the amp, and threw a switch in the circuit so I could turn it on and off. Hope this helps :)

  • @oheyimwesok

    @oheyimwesok

    Awesome thanks so much! So will this switch toggle my amp on/off so I will only have it turned on when my car is on so the battery doesn't die?

  • @PurplePenguinPowa

    @PurplePenguinPowa

    7 жыл бұрын

    Wes Diver well you will have to turn it on and off by using the power switch. So when you want it on you have to turn the power switch on, and when u want it off you will have to turn the power switch off. If you want everything automatic, like the amp turns itself on and off when the car turns on and off, then you will have to rip the head unit out and cut into the remote wire. I just did the power switch method because it is easier and then you don't have to cut into the remote wire in the head unit.

    To anyone who has no clue how to run wires in a car, make sure your power wire doesn’t have a fuse, or is not attached to the battery before it’s ready for power. This is a good way to make sure you don’t start an electrical fire or blow something. A live wire is very dangerous

  • @PurplePenguinPowa

    @PurplePenguinPowa

    Horrible, horrible job. Your power wire is too small, 8 gage max and it is ran half assed. Enter through the fire wall via grommet, remove panels and route correctly. Ground wire, “pressed” on to an aluminum rivet (won’t last or won’t work). Botched wiring job to the center console. Using coaxial cable as a remote, who does that! Splitters to connect RCA wires. Man, take pride with your shit and do it right. I would be embarrassed to show that off.
