You can also get a lighter and burn the ends of your “newly cut sleeves” a bit to prevent some fraying 👍

Extra tip! After you Cut the sock, u Can go over the Cut lightly with a lighter to burn off the lose strings and seal the Cut a little

If you want to make the raw edge of your DIY cut out sock more durable and take less damage when you remove the tape I tried passing the edge over a flame and it worked perfect

Something that I find helpful is to get a lighter and burn the edges of the part that you cut. It helps it last a little longer

All the players at my school do this and a lot of the time we use shin guard stays instead of tape

I use grip socks and by the footsocks with no bottom part with a elastic at the bottom so I don't have to use sock tape all the time
