That's my preferred way of wearing shin pads. I don't like having any distractions towards the lower half of my shin - feel more free when playing. // AK ✌️

It's honestly just a case of preferences. With tape you can get a more customised fit in comparison to guard stays. But if you're using tape, you've got to make sure its not too tight otherwise you'll cut of blood circulation to your feet!

Yes absolutely. This will help to keep the guards in place. If you find them uncomfortable, there are specific shin tapes you can buy to use as their replacement.

@@TheKitLab Ooh thx man! I thought pros dont wear their shin guard sleeves but i just saw that mbappe uses it. Also i see a lot of pros use the Nike Everyday Cushion crew sock (same as yours) but i wondered why they dont use for instance the NikeGrip Strike or the TapeDesign grip socks. I just ordered the Nike crew sock and some cheap amazon grip socks

@@tygovanbragt8111 AK's personal preference is indeed the Nike Grip Strike socks. For the purpose of this sock, he opted to go for a sock that's familiar with EVERYBODY - just to highlight the point of having your own socks.

Nike leg sleeve , they should come with your shin guards or you can buy from Nike

Your shin pads may be too small which means they're sitting on your shins incorrectly. Or it could be that their too big and are sliding cause friction burns. Our advice is to make sure you get the correct size.

See so many kids doing this now and they be wrapping that tape around tighter than a Colombian wrapping gifts for his boss!

i recommend wrap tape it doesn’t damage the sock but lasts the whole match

So you don’t actually tape your shinpads - how do they not move? I have a sleeve but they still go all over the place if I don’t tape over them

I personally don't tape the shin pad itself. For me the tape at the bottom where I've cut the sock holds the shin pad up for me. There are lighter shin pads tape that you can get to specifically wrap around the shin pads rather then using sleeves though! // AK ✌️
