If I have already broken in an unwaxed snake whip will I have to re break it in after waxing it?

It will definitely stiffen up after being waxed
Wouldn’t waxing the whip make it stiff because if you dip your finger in wax it hardens and breaks

The wax gets wiped off as it comes out of the bath and only the way that is soaked into the whip is what is there and it will stiffen up but just because the braiding is tighter
