According to Richie Jackson Varial Flips are one of the most hated tricks in Skateboarding I don't why but it seems like they're hated as much as Pressure Flips, honestly I don't have a problem with either trick

Haha you have got to love Richie. I think a lot of people find Varial flips easy to figure out and kind of a Segway trick to treflips. Once you land a Treflip you kind of leave this trick behind.

Couple of days before I started practicing varial flips and now your tutorial gave me better understanding of this trick. Thank you so much!!! 🙏 I got the flipping motion down. I can catch with my front foot. Now I need to commit and land with both Feet 👍

If you primo 'all the time', you need to change your front foot position or just flick harder. My guess is though, it's easy to 'miss' like 30% of the total flick that is required for a snappy varial flip. Also try to throw your arms up into the air as high as you can, as it'll force you to jump higher. The latter is what is making me land varial kick flips again after having lost them too for a bit.

I can do everything right besides my hang time and landing

When i try the trick it flips but only lands on the grip tape (trucks facing up). I can commit to the trick no problem but it doesn’t seem to rotate the whole way? Do i flip harder or scoop harder?

You probably need to change the direction you are flicking the board. Try flick down and at the same time you pop. Let me know if it helps you.

No but I did try the rubber grip tape the other day on a friend's board. It worked better than I expected.

The only trick that one day i can do bolts, next day it’s gone

If you get most of your basics down or all of you basics this trick is surprisingly not that hard when I first tried to do it I landed it like in an hour

I just got the full rotation and landed on the board but slipped out.

Ollies and kickflips are the biggest hurdles in my opinion. After you get those you start to understand what it takes to learn a new trick.
