How to Use Your Voice in ENGLISH to Sound Powerful and Confident

Join My English Mindset and transform the way you think and feel about your English: bit.ly/3WdR0r1
Do you like the sound of your voice when speaking English?
Do you feel that you use it to its full potential?
Can people hear you well?
I don't mean the metaphorical way of speaking “is your voice heard”’ - I mean - is your voice carried across the room and gets into people’s ears?
Can you express different emotions using your voice?
Do you feel that your voice is varied and interesting? Or is it monotone?
People tend to dislike their voices. In fact, I remember vividly the time when I used to record my voice on an answering machine and I HATED playing it back.
When it comes to speaking a second language it becomes even more challenging.
Because, it’s not enough that we have all those other aspects of a language to deal with (vocabulary, pronunciation, Grammar, etc. ) sometimes, oftentimes, speakers of English as a second language change, manipulate or HIDE their voices when speaking English.
But unlike other physical features, we’re born with - our height, body shape, eyesight - your voice is something you CAN control. If only you knew how.
In this video, you will learn how to understand your voice, get comfortable with it, and discover a few exercises that will help you free your voice and discover new placements, expressions, and power.
Get ready to dance, sing, laugh, and get out of your comfort zone!

Key points discussed: Tension and Nervousness: Tension in your body and nervousness can affect your voice. This can be due to the stress of communicating in a second language, leading to a stifled or weak voice. Voice Resonance: The voice resonates in different places in our body. Some languages resonate the voice mostly in the nose and head, some in the throat and chest. For English, the ideal voice placement is between your chest voice and your head voice. Cultural Influence: Cultural norms can influence how we use our voices. In some cultures, speaking at a higher volume may be considered rude or inappropriate. However, English is a vocally expressive language; to be a powerful communicator, you must use your voice fully. Voice Exercises: There are several exercises to help free up your voice and discover new placements, expressions, and power. These include facial warm-ups, exploring the versatility of your voice, breathing exercises, and practicing powerful speeches. Power Speech: Choose a powerful monologue from a TV show or movie, memorize it, and practice it regularly. This exercise can help you feel more confident and powerful in English. Importance of Practice: The importance of regular practice and exploration of your voice to improve your English speaking skills.

I think that in any kind of situation when I feel uncomfortable or that something is wrong, having this kind of support or guidelines, it's a crucial tool to make you feel better and give you the necessary confidence of doing or making your best at least!!. I can't help it but it keeps catching my attention as it's my fav color. It looks hella smooth ain't that the truth? reminds me of the gorgeous blue city in my country too. The sad part though barely any girls I know shamelessly not polish their nails blue that often on which is kinda lame. Can you believe that 😂? How could u not love blue or purple for that matter they're both aesthetically eye comforting appealing colors. I guess everyone's obsessed with colors they like the most after all 🌊🤷🏽‍♂️ don't you think?

I live abroad and try not to forget my mother tongue. Just watched your video about expanding vocabulary. In my opinion trying to do that in your native tongue is even more exciting. Knowing the language, accents and knowing HOW to talk in general helps a lot in communicating with other people. Finally , I understand why some days my languages skills are better than others: its tension and anxiety. Thank you.

Guys who are learning English, never give up because you're about to be so proud of yourself in the future yet. I've been learning English myself for nearly 2 years, and I've managed to improve every important aspects, from listening to speaking and now, thankfully, I'm quite confident to run my oen English channel here, which is a little bit hard though but I like it BTW very helpful lesson, thanks. ❤️
