    A few things from someone who's been using the Nemo Helios for years: - This thing really needs a proper spray attachment with a trigger nozzle. Pads or a narrow sputtering stream aren't going to cut it for washing hair, rinsing soap, or for people that prefer to use bar soap. - What is the shower time without the pad? - There REALLY needs to be more warning than like a 3 second sputtering heads up when the water is getting low since you can't see the water level, and most likely can't see or notice a blinking light when showering in direct sunlight.

    Good feedback all around. I can't disclose too much at this time, but we're keeping our eyes on extra attachments. To answer your question, with the scrub detached and the valve wide open, the shower time is 1 minute, or 1 GPM. For those with long hair, we recommend lathering up and saving the last 1/3 of the tank to rinse with (detach the scrub and open the valve to a click or two shy of full blast - full blast is a bit intense).

    I like what I see. Traveling in Mexico, I’d like something I can carry somewhere that doesn’t have power nearby. Often bathhouses use salt water and don’t have shower heads. Is it possible to purchase just the hose and Geyser Scrub Pad and use it on a garden pump type of sprayer?

    I just got one of these. I like it. A few suggestions. It vaper locks. Thankfully the pump stops when there is no water. Maybe a warning and instructions on how to re-prime the pump. Am considering placing a drain cock on the lid to equal the pressure. In case I forget. Again. An option for a larger tank or an add on tank would be nice. I know, I would be willing to pay for extra hot water.

    Hello Kirk! The YETI 400 works great. However, I would be cautious on using it in heat mode and recommend just using your camping stove instead (MSR's is our fav). In the pump mode, we used the YETI 400 all day long at tradeshows with no issues. You'll be good to go!

    It seems that adding hot water instead of using the heating element geyser is faster . The geyser with the heating element takes between 15 to 30 min to heat up ,but the non-heating element geyser doesn’t take 15 minutes to boil that much water and is quicker to use. Am I correct in my assumption? 2nd question: if you want to can you refill it again? Because one is a piggy with water use LOL?.

  • @geysersystems3184

    @geysersystems3184

    3 жыл бұрын

    You are 100% correct. Adding 1 liter (32oz) of boiling water to 2 liters regular/cold water is the fastest way to a hot shower. We actually recommend that anyone who already owns a camping stove purchase the Geyser w/o the built-in heater, as it's the best value for your dollar. However, for those without a camping stove or who are otherwise looking for extra convenience, we recommend the Geyser with the built-in heater.

  • @geysersystems3184

    @geysersystems3184

    3 жыл бұрын

    That is correct. The non-heated model is best suited for those who have a camping stove in order to quickly boil 1 liter of water to top off the Geyser, getting you ~95F+ water. The unit does retain heat fairly well and it will take several minutes to feel a noticeable drop in the temperature.

    Our scrubs are rated to last ~50-150+ uses, depending on how rough you are on them and how they are stored (basically, don't leave them exposed in direct sunlight 24/7). We also treat the sponges themselves with an all-natural antimicrobial solution that helps to keep the cellulose from breaking down.

  • @daviddriscoll330

    @@geysersystems3184 And regular sponges (which im betting those are) are made to last, too. Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges are well under $1 each (yes natural cellulose). Are you claiming you have a 'special' sponge made just for your product that is somehow superior to the ones decades old sponge companies sell? and that you're not just buying a pre-made one and assembling it? What you are using is nothing special as far as a sponge goes, the expense comes from the plastic hose and sewing the edges (and profit, just like printer ink). As I said before, everyone knows how long a sponge lasts and if you can make it last longer you need to get in contact with some companies that do it for a living for decades who haven't cracked the code you have. There are millions to be made. As far as treating it with an antimicrobial solution: I don't think any one believes that's going to give a regular sponge any real extra life. People use those kinds of soap all of the time. So this is your process? Have a special sponge made just for your company, spray it with a solution that keeps it from breaking down, then sew it up and have a plastic hose attached. Then package it. EVERYONE KNOWS HOW LONG A SPONGE LASTS with real life experience Your replacement is about $8.

    It's not totally necessary to keep your car running during use, but the built-in heater does pull 9.8amps (pump mode pulls 2.5-3.1) and we make the disclaimer so that no one accidentally fully drains their starter battery. Any 12v power source power station or battery bank will also work. The benefit of having a powered system instead of a hand or foot pump is that you have an alternative means to heat the water and you always have just the right amount of pressure.
