I recently bought one of these showers and they are absolutely awesome. I was skeptical at first, and highly surprised when I first used it...what a great invention. I was deciding between this and the Road Shower. I'm glad I went with this option.

Based on this video, I bought a Geyser (non-heater model) and absolutely LOVE it. Heat the water in a kettle and pour it in. No need for fancy and cumbersome propane lines, etc. The pump plugs into a 12V hot point - EASY PEAZY.

Is it so noisy where it would disturb others in a campground without showers ( such as National Parks). We are not often without showers available but would like options to be able to camp in national parks and be clean ( catching water so we don't pollute, etc)

  • @awcarterart

great question! it does generate sound for sure but it's not offensive at all. I wouldn't hesitate to use it with other campers around at all. It's not even close to a generator or anything. Hope that helps a bit. As a musician and having sensitive ears this didn't cross my mind. Again, I hope that helps and illustrates how chill it is. Thanks for watching the vid! cheers, Adam

Hot shower? You mean lukewarm sponge. Myself and my family were really excited about this product as it seemed like the perfect solution for our Overland rig and for use after scuba diving. Unfortunately the concept of the 12 volt heater is highly flawed and if I have to boil water there's much cheaper systems. I've never been able to use the 12 volt system to heat the water above 95 and unfortunately it gets worse from there as the thermostat gets stuck in that position and will not continue to reheat the water unless I pour all the water out and fill it with ice cold water to reset the thermostat highly inefficient. If you wait more than five minutes after the light comes on you are taking a 90° sponge within 20 minutes it's about 85° definitely not what I would describe as a hot shower. Most disconcerting of all is the fact that a quick Google search found that I was not the only one having this problem which means the company must be aware of this flaw and is continuing to ship a defective product. Now I'm out well over $300 for a fancy lukewarm sponge.

Hi Michael, thank you for your comment and thorough explanation. That is disappointing to hear and I don't have any experience with the heated unit. We just returned from a 6 week adventure, used our Geyser almost everyday and without complaints or problems. But again, it appears your biggest issue is with the heater. If you are able to return/replace (if you purchased from REI?) then perhaps I'd suggest changing out for the non-heated version. Yes, it adds a step to the process however it is rock solid each time. I'm not sure if that's a possibility for your situation but wanted to toss an option to you. It's not a flowing waterfall of a shower. But what it is, for me, is one of my favorite things when we are remote and I've been out killing miles on my bike. Thanks again for taking the time to write out your comments, it's what this video is here for, to gather info, help people make more informed decisions and uncover issues that will help future buyers in their research process. I am but one dude with one experience. Thank you again.

Hey rt. first of all, thank you for watching, second thanks for editing your comment, I couldn't figure out what seemed "fake". As it turns out I'm a videographer by trade and was making my own fun vids for myself while we were traveling for 6 weeks....and then this situation happened. I was compelled to share my story, it's all true. I wasn't asked, I wasn't paid, I was justing making something that was important to me and hoped that it would help others. That's all. In reality I would love to work for Geyser however I don't. In this day and age we all have to have a certain amount of skepticism with marketing, adds, news etc. so I can appreciate your questioning. I doubt this message back will change your mind but again, thanks for watching and I'm glad you had an opinion. That's a good thing. Cheers, Adam

I do appreciate your comment and questioning it though, more people should. Sorry my answer was less fun that a "fake news" angle.

Hi Steve, It's obvious that you didn't watch this video. At all. But thanks for the comment. 1) I have the unit that you heat 1/3 of the water on your stove. Unless you are using a lighter to heat your water then it actually takes about 3-5 minutes at best. 2) Since I don't work for the company and made this video based on a real and true experience then Geyser isn't patting themselves anywhere. I am. And you didn't watch the video. 3) From what I understand it does take around 20 minutes for the self-heated unit to heat hence I didn't buy that one. 4) I'd suggest finding the appropriate video that discusses your elegantly stated concerns and airing your grievances there. 5) Whatever video you choose to comment on, you should actually watch it first. Because again, you didn't watch this one. Thanks again, Adam

Lmao that’s just answer I’d expect I actually watch several One where they actually did some useful measuring of power consumption of the heated unit 115 watts 15 minutes and if your using your car outlet you likely need run car to not kill battery no thanks I’ll stick with HELIO XL no car running polluting way less then 300$

Hey Danny, thanks for tuning in and congrats on your purchase! I'm pleased to say (and should probably make another video) that we are in season 4 with our Geyser and I literally can't do without it. I will say that you'll develop your own style of using it but it's all that. It's been fun to watch this company grow and improve. I've always been impressed with their service and response to issues in the field. They have made a few minor (but necessary) improvements over time, little things that you can't R&D until there are 10's of thousands of us out and about reporting back. I know your unit will come with all of it. Thanks again for watching and this is a great reminder that I should do a follow up vid during this seasons adventure. Thanks again for watching.
