Been using the Geyser I got from REI all summer, and LOVE it! A hot shower after a dusty day, dishes that are actually clean!!...it’s wild how much more productive/“human” you feel when you wake up clean like it’s day one of the trip...not day 100.

OB 26473- I just got the heated one- love it so far. Used it after jumping in a freezing cold creek. It was awesome. Plenty of water for my son and me. I store cables and tubing in a separate bag too.

I've seen these before but never really digged in. I'd probably wait for a version 2 it seems if I was interested. Perfectly happy with my instant hot water system I threw together. Solves alot of these drawbacks. Has some of its own. But outweighs these for sure.

I promise that I am not trying to be negative; however I'm not sure how this is better than a roof mounted solar (direct) heated self built system with much more water. I really like the water thru the sponge part, it really would use less water to get you clean. But, a lot of people just want the relaxing felling of having the warm (or cool) water cascading down themselves. Which intrinsically involves more water than this system provides. I would probably buy just the sponge/valve part if it was sold separately to use in conjunction with an overhead shower nozzle.

I agree that a proper shower feels better and is more relaxing but for a daily cleaning this is hard to beat. I like not having the extra weight on the roof (I used to have the Roadshower, 5 gals and 55 pounds) but did enjoy having the shower ready when I got to camp. This splits the difference. The sponges will be sold separately so you can replace them as needed or use on your own system.

@@otmd-overlandingtrophymd5557 Interesting, I'm suprised you moved away from the Roadshower. Most people love them and your size was a moderate one. It takes alot to move away from a system you already had in place, what made you do it?

Wow you have the Defender driven by the Dutch team in the Camel trophy. The last time I saw that one was in the Camel cigarette commercial in the seventies. They had 20 min commercials in the cinemas in the Netherlands covering the Camel trophy. It was like the pre-progam before the main movie. Oh what memories. And now I still drive a Defender.

The concept of the sponge is innovative however the overall implementation is lacking, not to mention expensive. I'll stick to my bucket/submersible pump method thanks.

Great idea and some innovative features, sound like it's still very much a beta product tho and has some kinks to work out. That switch being off in the middle and the valve at the end of the hose are big oversights, but it sounds like they'll fix them. Do like how compact it is, and better than solar hear and having 3 to 5 gallons in top of the rack all day just for a shower later.

I got a 12V portable car wash pump for 50 bucks on amazon. I drop one end into a jerry can and off I go. 5 Gallons, heated from the sun or pour boiling water into the can.. no waiting for it to pressurize. can wash my truck, dishes, myself. packs into an ammo can or smaller. This is over engineered and not even engineered that well in the first place.
