    So is the body casing of geyser shower unit water resistant? I'm interested in getting this and the Nemo privacy shelter and using this in it. Would water falling on the unit damage it?

    I have one (Since 2021 or so). Def recommend even for someone with long hair like myself. I've used while vaning (in and out of town), camping and even in house when there was a water issue. Keep up the good work y'all.

    I would like to see a hand-free shower head for this with a sponge inside the shower head that can be compressed with the pull of a string so you can release more water on your hair when rinsing soap out.

    The unit I recently got from REI here in Henderson, Nevada didn't come with a 6ft hose. How do I come across a hose of that length? I'm 6ft myself & would much rather have it at that length.

    I wonder if there is a foundation that would help you deliver a low cost version of your system to people in need. Each time a customer buys a geyser system online (with a gift option check box?) you could donate the low cost version and a scrub to the foundation. The low cost system could be just an insulated bag with the quick-connect port hung to deliver the shower via good ol' gravity. I would buy the low cost version myself just to have the back-up compatibility to my regular system.

    I just got one of these. I like it. A few suggestions. It vaper locks. Thankfully the pump stops when there is no water. Maybe a warning and instructions on how to re-prime the pump. Am considering placing a drain cock on the lid to equal the pressure. In case I forget. Again. An option for a larger tank or an add on tank would be nice. I know, I would be willing to pay for extra hot water.

    @@BWT599 I ended up drilling a hole in the lid and putting drain cock in. (Small part that allows water or air in or out with the twist of a knob) But then I found something that works really well and is not very expensive. 01: 5 gallon bucket - About $5 02: Rechargeable shower - About $30 to $50. 03: 5 gallon bucket Submerged water heater. About $20 to $30. Nice long hot shower.

    I have the valve with the “reenforced edge” and it also came cracked. I wanted to love this product, but using a cheap plastic valve, even a redesigned one, misses the mark. How did all of these defective valves get through “extensive testing”?

    If you use a camping stove the process will take as long as it does for you to boil the water! Then you can use your cars battery to help power it up for a nice hot shower! Both units can be used in the same way, excluding the self heating that takes so long.

    I went off the grid for 2 years in a van and it was very insightful. Isolated myself from people and learned a lot about myself & needs. If you need clarity I recommend it. Totally reliant on yourself. I learned so much and not to take anything for granted. You never know when it will be taken away. Come on, shed those materialistic things and find out what makes you tick and truly happy.

    It's not totally necessary to keep your car running during use, but the built-in heater does pull 9.8amps (pump mode pulls 2.5-3.1) and we make the disclaimer so that no one accidentally fully drains their starter battery. Any 12v power source power station or battery bank will also work. The benefit of having a powered system instead of a hand or foot pump is that you have an alternative means to heat the water and you always have just the right amount of pressure.

    Do any of the models maintain the temperature whilst you use the shower?

  • @geysersystems3184
    @geysersystems31843 жыл бұрын

    Good question. No, although the temperature doesn't vary noticeably during the duration of use (7-15 minutes). To have the built-in heater and pump running simultaneously would create too much draw (>10amps).

  • @geysersystems3184
    @geysersystems31843 жыл бұрын

    That is correct. The non-heated model is best suited for those who have a camping stove in order to quickly boil 1 liter of water to top off the Geyser, getting you ~95F+ water. The unit does retain heat fairly well and it will take several minutes to feel a noticeable drop in the temperature.
