How to Use Weightlifting Straps
1. Slide hand inside the strap so the the eyelet is positioned at in the centre of the base of your wrist.
2. Start wrapping from the outside of the bar and work your way toward the middle
3. The strap is wrapped clockwise around the bar.
Knowing how to use weightlifting straps is as important as knowing when to use them.
Weightlifting straps will not do all the work for you.
You still need provide maximal support for the whatever is in your hands
(barbell, dumbbell). The weightlifting strap is wrapped clockwise around the bar because it is the opposite direction of how the bar will roll out of your hands if you are using both hands in a pronated grip.
You will still need use 100% of your grip strength to secure the bar - anything less will result into loss of grip and potential injury. Lifting straps are used when the weight load exceeds your ability to secure the load with your grip alone.

    They are still on backwards. The strap should go the same direction of the thumb

    +Jose A. Justiniano thank you for checking out our latest video! Lifting straps are most often used during deadlifts,chin-ups and Pull-Ups as well as barbell or dumbbell shrugs. Sometimes people decide to use them during their later sets when their grip is already fatigued whike their bigger muscle groups are not. Please let me know if this answers your question!     Thanks for the video. However, the bar still slides from my left grip, and I don’t think the straps are helping with more than two extra reps. Any tips for me??!

    Hello! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. A couple of things could be happening and the first one is that the strap on your left hand is not as tight as the one on the right period sometimes it happens that we can get one strap tighter than the other so if this is the case be sure that both straps are equally tight on the bar. The other issue might be your grip on your left side is not as strong on your right side. You would likely realize this while doing other lifts.So if this is the case some dedicated training for the grip strength and endurance on your left side would be appropriate to balance out the performance between your hands when lifting.

    Where should the straps be placed on your wrist? I had some wrist pain after using the straps and read that the straps should be placed slightly above the wrist to avoid tearing and degenerative damage of the wrist

    Does using straps help with calluses? It’s getting hurt badly that it heals slower than my actual deadlift muscles

    Pretty sure those are on the wrong hands. You want them coming through between finger and thumb but should cross the the palm. Just ask 3x world strongest man. He says a lot of people do what’s shown in video, and it’s not correct.

    Dude at 0:35 when you are showing how to put it on you drop your hand out of the video and then fliping your hand back and forth I can't tell how you got the strap orientated

    Those straps do nothing for me. When my hand opens, the straps unfold and the bar falls on the floor (of course i stop the set before) but yeah...gonna return them and buy other types of grips.
