Although being long haired for decades now.. And fond of swimming, it took me years to know that salt sea water is bad for my hair health in contrast to the skin.. Use to keep and suffer breakage especially when combing.. My routine is to shower as soon as I go out of sea or worse chlorinated pool...

Thank you for the tips, great video 👍 As someone with super fine/thin hair (no hair loss) I'm always looking to find ways to boost the volume. I'm currently using a hair food/mask product and is sort of working but I think my issue is down to my poor sleeping/eating and digestive issues. I have a Beach Matt spray, only used it once but I'll try the blow dry method next time and see how it turns out. Thank you 😃👍

I've heard that occasionally adding a small amount of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drinking it can help with digestive problems. Definitely do your own research before trying it, but ACV is used in kitchen recipes and such.

i read that sugar spray is a great and healthier alternative to salt spray, since it doesn't dehydrate the hair. however your hair will look and feel different when you use sugar instead of salt, but both sprays are supposed to give more texture and increase volume.

The only reason why I use Sea Salt Spray is because the one that I have is Ocean Spray, which has UV Protectant, and I don’t have a regular hair UV Protectant. The only other thing is maybe as a Pre Styler/Heat Protectant before quiffing my hair up. However, it can make it grimy.

@@dunjaluk9698 i use “Pantene Pro-V” shampoo and conditioner. Very affordable so you wont be breaking the bank. With the shampoo, i use maybe a little more than a pea size drop and i massage it into my scalp. I recommend leaning back to rinse off the shampoo from your head because leaning forward will allow all the dirt and jank that was in your hair onto your face. Then once you’re done rinsing your hair, squeeze all the access water from your hair and apply the conditioner to your ends. Wrap your hair around like a bun and let the conditioner sit for a good five minutes. I recommend washing from top to bottom so while the conditioner is sitting, you can wash up like you would normally and the last thing you should be doing before finishing up is rinsing of the conditioner.

@@Gematrinator Oil can definitely reduce volume, as can a styling cream. Oil can also make your hair look greasy. If you want a sure-fire way of reducing volume, condition your hair. Usually, people only condition the ends and the mid-shaft. What you want to do is condition closer to the roots. This will weigh down the hair. Another thing to keep in mind is that clean hair is voluminous hair. So skipping the shampoo and using it maybe once twice a week, will reduce volume. Lastly brushing your hair and blowdrying in a downword motion will reduce the volume. Oil the ends with Coconut (I hate it myself) or a heavier oil will cause weight at the ends and diminish volume.
